Stacey Young is a papercutting artist returning on 21st November. She began creating handcrafted papercut gifts in 2016 under her brand . What started as a relaxing hobby after work soon became something more - a mindful, therapeutic creative outlet that brought a real sense of calm. As Stacey began making more artwork and selling her designs, it naturally grew into a thriving small business.
Since then, her work has expanded to include greeting cards, exhibition pieces andbespoke commissions. Her art has been shortlisted for the RSPB Nature in the City competition and featured on Hochanda and The Craft Store TV channels.
Through Meet the Moon, she also runs local workshops and private papercutting
parties, promoting creativity and wellbeing through mindful making. Her online shop offers DIY kits and templates so others can enjoy the calm and satisfaction of
papercutting at home.

These beautiful pieces of silver jewellery are the work of Catherine from . She will be at Chiltern Made for the first time - we hope you enjoy her work. She says "I set up my jewellery business, Black Ivy Jewellery, over 4 years ago. I decided I wanted to learn something new, so joined an evening class in silversmithing and never looked back! I design and handcraft every piece of jewellery myself.

I'm inspired by nature - being outside is my happy place! All the stones I use in my jewellery are natural and I use only recycled sterling silver." Catherine is one of the many talented makers and artists who'll be at on Nov 21st.

Returning Maker Chris from is a firm favourite with Chiltern Made visitors who love his designs. He is one of the small group who've attended each of our fairs.
He says 'For the last twenty odd years my work and hobby has involved the use of wood and I’m still fascinated by its strength and beauty. I like sourcing timber that has natural interest and sometimes adding a variety of resins to hopefully make something that is interesting and unique. I also use man made materials such as plywood and acrylic sheet.

Further to using a lathe I make all sorts of bird boxes, bird tables, bat roosts etc. I also make slab/live edged tables all from local sources.

How often can you say you popped out on a Saturday and chatted to a lady spinning yarn at her wheel? Well you can at Chiltern Made on 21st November. Marjorie Waye who is based in Amersham days "As an adult, I learned from a Dutch weaver whose father and grandfather were Master Weavers in the Netherlands. Further study at the Ontario College of
Art re colour and at the Village Weaver hub in Toronto followed.
My original two looms moved to England with me in 1983. Completion of the
Bradford Diploma in Handloom Weaving and a City and Guilds adult education
module expanded my horizons. My teaching studio is now equipped with several carefully chosen looms and spinning wheels.
I still love working with traditional fibres such as wool, alpaca, camel down and silk but recently have become challenged by some of the newer materials for spinning and weaving- bamboo, soyasilk, rose fibre and seacell." Come and chat all things weaving and spinning with Marjorie on 21st....

Another newcomer this to Chiltern Made this year is with her colourful vibrant style. However she is certainly not new to art and illustration as she tells us: "I studied illustration at my local college followed by a Graphic Design and Printmaking degree in Brighton. I worked for several years as a freelance designer in London before relocating to Bucks and establishing my own design company working with Harrods, John Lewis, and Fortnum and Mason to name a few.
.
In recent years I've returned to my first love of painting and illustration. My range of watercolour, ink and mixed media pieces with their bright colour palettes have proven very popular and collectible. I now teach several sessions a week at ‘pop-up’ venues in Bucks, Beds and Northants. I’ve developed a workshop style that both beginners and more advanced painters can enjoy and learn from.
I live and work from my houseboat on the Grand Union. I’m passionate about creativity for well-being and art for all. I sit on the committee for the Visual Images Group".

Another maker new to Chiltern Made this year is who creates delicate, hand-built porcelain Christmas decorations inspired by nature, including sculpted and hand-painted birds. Alongside these, she makes unique home decor and floral arrangements using locally grown dried flowers. Each piece is lovingly handmade, celebrating the beauty and character of the natural world.
We're very pleased to welcome Lucy to our event for the first time - we are sure you'll love what you'll see on her stall - it's a colourful feast for the eyes on these grey autumn days.

Why should you visit Chiltern Made rather than just go online from a faceless big company? Here are a few of our artists and makers who may persuade you. Come and meet them, have a chat, see their work, maybe buy an item or two?
