Blue Haze Arts & Crafts Once known as the best Craft shop in Chesham and often called the most colourful shop! We closed at the end of 2024 after nearly 20 years of trading.

We are now regularly found on Chesham's Vintage Market on the last Sunday of the month clearing the stock Blue Haze was an "Aladdin’s Cave" full of wonderful colourful things, including Sewing, Knitting, Paper Craft, Painting to Jewellery. Zips, Velcro, Sewing Threads, Elastic, Pins, Needles, Cash's Nametapes, Buttons, Bias Binding, Ribbons, Anchor Tapestry & Embroidery Threads, DMC Embroidery & C

rochet Threads, Guttermann Sewing Threads. Everything for Paper Craft, Card, Papers, Tissue, Crepe Paper, Glues, Sticky Tapes, Foam Pads, Decoupage, Decopatch, Papier Mache Boxes, Masks, Stickers, Embossing Powders, Glitter. General Craft, Fimo Polymer Clay, Plaster of Paris, Das Air Drying Clay. Jewellery Making, Findings, Embroidery, Bugle, Glass Beads, Elastic, Cotton & Leather Cords, Wire, Tiger Tail. Knitting Yarns, Sirdar & Patons, Knitting Patterns. Watercolour Paints, Soft Pastels, Oil Pastels, Brushes, Derwent Pencils, Fabric Paint, Silk Paint, Glass Paint, Ceramic Paint, Books. There was a lovely airy studio upstairs which was a regular haunt for people participating in the workshops. It was modern, organised, but eclectic, housed in a quaint 16th century listed building just off the Market Square.

Add your stitch to Chesham’s story!

Chesham Museum is currently leading Migration Stories, a project celebrating the stories of people who have come to and from Chesham, and the contributions they have made to our town and beyond.

We’re working with local artist Harsha Basu to create a large, collaborative textile artwork made from sewn patches created by people across Chesham’s communities.

Here’s where you come in:
We’ve supplied the Chesham Community Fridge team with free Sadhana Stitch Kits, so you can create your own patch at home. To pick up a kit, ask a member of the Community Fridge team during their Wednesday or Saturday shifts.

Once you’ve finished your patch, drop it back to the Community Fridge team before Monday 14 September 2026, and we’ll collect it and add it to the artwork!

Get your sewing on and add your story to something made by the people of Chesham.

The Migration Stories exhibition opens to the public in our Town Hall exhibition space from Saturday the 3rd October 2026.
