Paint spraying price: £1,200 plus paint
This price was sent to me last week by a developer and asked if I thought it was “decent”
I immediately said yes
The sprayer had been asked to white out a full 3-bed semi detached house
I felt that the price was very good
The price was for a fully painted house - that’s the result the customer was buying
Fast forward to yesterday and the guy rings me back kicking off like f**k “you said that was a good price”
I stand by that
“He was f**kin finished after a day”
That’s awesome i said … did he leave the place clean tidy and remove all the protection etc?
“Yeah”
Then what a result … all that graft done for £1,200 and he got finished in one day - you must be buzzing
“Buzzing? I’m f**kin fuming - he’s ripped me off”
❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓
Truly baffled I wanted to explore this thinking
“How have you been ripped off?”
£1,200 for a days work? I don’t get that in a week?” 🤬
“Mate - what’s the time got to do with it? You bought price work… out of curiosity what hours did he do and how many people on the job?”
I don’t know 🤷♀️
This story is real and it happens every day
Trades not explaining the position of them selling results and not time
Developers understanding that they should seek out result driven prices and doing them efficiently creates a win win for everyone
Let’s share this far and wide and this message out for everyone to see 🙌🏻❤️
