You all know what we think of The Courier UK Business Awards Apprentice of the Year finalist Arran, now it's time to hear from the people who know him best - his family! (He still loves climbing on roofs.)

We have every faith in you, and there is no one more deserving of this than you! 🏆
Ever since you started walking at 10 months old, your dad and I knew we were in trouble! 😂 Always inquisitive, always getting into things you probably shouldn’t, and as you got older, we quickly realised you had absolutely NO fear!
Whether it was jumping off a 20ft wall onto the beach (giving me the fright of my life while you just laughed 😳😂) or climbing onto the roofs of villas and houses simply because you could… you certainly kept us on our toes! Looking back, maybe we should have known then what we were dealing with! 🤦♀️🤣
But behind all those adventures, we could see something special in you. Your determination, your ability to never give up, and the way you always give everything your best shot. One of the things we admire most about you, Arran, is the way you think outside the box. If there’s a way around a problem, you’ll find it when everyone else thinks there isn’t one. You’ve always had that determination to find a way, no matter what.
Life hasn’t always been easy either. Watching your wee sister face the challenges of her disability hasn’t always been straightforward, but you have been such a light for her and for all of us. Through hospital visits and difficult days, you’ve always found a way to make her laugh and make sure she still has fun. That means more than you’ll ever truly know. ❤️
We are so lucky to have you, and we are SO proud of the person you are. We’ve always believed you were destined for great things, and we have no doubt that there’s so much more to come!
The best is yet to come, Arran… but let’s get that Courier Award in the bag first! 🏆😂
