Jayne’s Wool & Buttons in Glenrothes sells yarns - buttons - ribbons, books & more. Jayneswool.co.uk Welcome to Jayne's new Wool & Button Shop.

This new shop first opened on 11am on Friday, 9th January 2015. The store was previously called the Saturday Wool & Craft Shop and is based in the same room as Glenrothes Knitting and Crochet Clubs. As well as stocking new yarn, we also have a vast range of unusual buttons on sale, Ribbons, elastic, preloved patterns, Knitting and Crochet books, zips, crochet hooks and Knitting needles, haberdashery bits and pieces. Pre-payment by PayPal is required if you are buying directly from the page. Will post anywhere in the UK and Overseas. Check out my new website: Jayneswool.co.uk

Our shop hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11am to 2pm. The shop is open during our knitting and crochet clubs which run from 11am till 1pm on the above days. Entry into the building is via the car park Red entrance door, follow the instructions on the silver keypad next to the door, my unit is No.1. Pull the door towards you once the buzzer has been pressed. If the door does not open for any reason, please call my mobile number 07722 388124 and I will let you in.

We have 4 New Mystery Yarn packs available from Monday, each contains about 300g of DK acrylic yarns. Prices range from £5.87 per pack. Each pack has a selection of complimentary colours.

These packs are not available to order online.

Hi Everyone, just a quick update, I am on the mend. Taking care each day. My hubby Paul has been very supportive during my time at home. We had a visit from our son Craig who lives in Aberdeen. Craig has been helping us out with Hartree our beagle, and doing the dishes.

Today I was able to use my rollator walker and walk a few steps. I am easing myself back to normal foods, but for the moment, I can recommend the Carrot & Coriander and the Tomato & Basil soups from Lidl. They’re full of flavour and texture.

Both Paul and Craig are out shopping to top up my food requests which will get me back to normal.

I’m not planning to return to the shop until at least next week, but I will keep you updated.

Dear Customers,

It’s that time of year again…..just to let everyone know that Jayne’s Wool & Buttons, Glenrothes will be Closed from 2pm on Saturday, 12th December 2026 until we return in the New Year.

We’re planning to reopen from 11am on Monday, 11th January 2027.
