This new shop first opened on 11am on Friday, 9th January 2015. The store was previously called the Saturday Wool & Craft Shop and is based in the same room as Glenrothes Knitting and Crochet Clubs. As well as stocking new yarn, we also have a vast range of unusual buttons on sale, Ribbons, elastic, preloved patterns, Knitting and Crochet books, zips, crochet hooks and Knitting needles, haberdashe

Our shop hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11am to 2pm. The shop is open during our knitting and crochet clubs which run from 11am till 1pm on the above days. Entry into the building is via the car park Red entrance door, follow the instructions on the silver keypad next to the door, my unit is No.1. Pull the door towards you once the buzzer has been pressed. If the door does not open for any reason, please call my mobile number 07722 388124 and I will let you in.

I had a busy afternoon getting all the new Stylecraft Special DK yarn labelled and put on the shelves.

We have 14 assorted colours (out of the 125 different colours available from Stylecraft), in stock. Our price is just £2.29 per ball.

I have also topped up the popular Woolcraft Blanket in a Ball Aran 300g balls, these are £7.99 each.

The new yarns will be available to buy from both the shop and our website Jayneswool.co.uk soon.

There’s 11 colours in this lovely Aran range. We already have 3 colours from our last order : Moulin Rouge, Water Lillies and Grand Canal.

There was lots of packages to open today. Our new Woolcraft yarn order has arrived so I will be working through this today and on Saturday.

We have some new ergonomic crochet hooks on sale, the sizes vary from 2.5mm up to 6mm. Our price is £1.99 per hook.

We also have some new stock of colourful organza gift bags for our button website orders. We sell these too in packs of 10, they can be found in our sale baskets.

We have been updating our website this week, and if you’re looking for more cotton DK to make something for your summer holiday, have a browse through our colours.

Just to let everyone know that there’s been a change to the Edison House building hall lighting this week. The electrician has installed sensors, so the lights will only come on if you pass by a sensor.
