Here’s a lovely treat for you all. It’s a documentary by a young Independent Film Company that wanted to film the Lovelies together in Goring at the Mill Cottage Garden Party. It’s to celebrate the Lovelies all getting together and the long lasting friendships they’ve made and why they come back every year on his birthday. It’s a 16 minute documentary, so grab yourself a cuppa and enjoy and give them a share and a like. You all make this happen 😁. See you next year. Can anyone see themselves?

Last year Outside25: Celebrating George Michael made a generous donation to the Friends of Goring Library for the creation of a new community garden at Goring Library. The garden is now open and everyone is welcome to visit and take a look during library opening hours on Friday 25 June, 9.30am-12.30pm, 2pm-5pm and on Saturday 26 June from 9.30am-1pm. Any donations you might like to make towards the garden's ongoing maintenance costs will be very gratefully received

It's finally here. 🌴

Pub Tropicana 2026 — a full weekend of live music celebrating George Michael, Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June.

🎸 FRI 26 (free) — returning fan favourites On A Friday (Verity & James) from 7pm, then DJ Dazby spinning 80s & 90s classics and George Michael hits for the Outside25 afterparty

🌴 SAT 27 — Tropicana Sessions with DJ Dystopika from 1pm (free), followed by a rare live set from the brothers of 70s chart stars The Dooleys, mixing 70s floor-fillers and George Michael favourites in the Miller courtyard. The Dooley Brothers headline from 8pm — tickets are £12 and limited.

🎶 SUN 28 (free) — DJ Dystopika + The Hunnymooners + George Parker & more from 1pm, with local legends The Mysteries closing things out from 8pm

BBQ running all three days. Outdoor bar. Outside25 wristband holders get 10% off drinks all weekend.

A portion of every Saturday ticket goes to Rare Dementia Support — in memory of the brothers' sister Kathy, and a cause close to the family's heart. ❤️

There’s a reason George Michael still gains new fans years after his passing.

Great voices impress people.

Great songs entertain people.

But genuine emotion stays with people.

George had that rare ability to sound completely in control while revealing pieces of his heart at the same time.

That balance was extraordinary.

He could deliver a flawless vocal performance, yet somehow make it feel deeply personal and vulnerable.

You never felt like you were listening to a celebrity.

You felt like you were listening to a human being.

That’s why songs like Kissing a Fool, One More Try, and A Different Corner continue to resonate with listeners decades later.

The emotions inside them never age.

And perhaps that’s George Michael’s greatest legacy.

Not the records.

Not the awards.

Not even the fame.

It’s the fact that people still find comfort, understanding, and companionship in his music long after it was recorded.
