Just in time for at ... Introducing our first backpack style bag.

The Autumn Arts Festival is the first of only 2 events we are doing in 2026. We will have the new back pack and a new small bag, as well as some reduced prices of ex display pieces, to make room for 2027.

Spent the morning with the Whetstone riding and repairing edges.
The one thing that took me a little while to realise, is the quality of the tools matter.
They don't have to be the most expensive, but a crisp clean edge and well prepared tools make all the difference.here are some of my most frequently used tools. Including artisan made and British made, as well as a few from further afield.

This much loved case is from the 1940s and is the usual home to records and medals from the original family member owner.
Time had taken its toll on the linen thread and the corners.

Without wanting to make it new, corner covers were added to bring back structural strength and the linen thread replaced. A water based adhesive was added to the edges of the board lining to return stability and finished off with a wax finish to protect for years to come.
