MOST PEOPLE PUT TIMBER HERE.

WE DIDN'T.

we knew there was one area that would need protecting.

The sink area.

Water, cleaning products, and daily use can gradually damage timber over time.

Not immediately.

But over the years.

So instead of simply supplying what was requested, we recommended a granite insert around the sink.

The client still got the warmth and character of real timber throughout the kitchen, while the area exposed to the most moisture was protected for the long term.

Good design isn't just about how a kitchen looks on installation day.

It's about how it performs years later.

Sometimes the best design decisions aren't the most obvious.

They're the ones that help protect your investment.

This kitchen wasn't too small.

That's what the homeowner thought.

The obvious answer was an extension.

More building work.
