I posted this to remind myself how resilient and rewarding flowers are. Although the extreme prolonged heat and drought of the summer seem in the distant past now, I was definitely fretting about how they are going to survive at the time . Yet the dahlias, zinnias and cosmos have done better than even this autumn. If we look after nature, it will look after us!

They just keep on blooming! I went away for a couple of weeks at the end of September thinking it would be the end of the season by my return. Much to my surprise and delight, there were abundant of flowers waiting for me.

I dashed out the other evening to cut all these blooms before the heavy rain overnight. It was worth it. These wouldn’t have survived the battering otherwise. Not typical autumnal palette, nevertheless beautiful and elegant 🥰🥰🥰

Another week, another heatwave! I wanted this design to create a sense of calm and tranquility. It does just that for me. I hope you feel the same way too.

This Jewel-box design is the epitome of summer in a vase! The brilliant colours of the dahlias bring a smile to my face.

Despite the hot weather, the flowers are thriving even though the vase life is somewhat reduced. With beautiful bouquet like this, it’s worth all the sweats growing them!

Sometimes simplicity is the most beautiful. I just adore the apricot digitalis 🥰 Ammi Majus just add height and delicacy.

This design was made with leftover flowers from a wedding. I just can’t bear throwing beautiful flowers away!

Many congratulations to Tom and Hermione who got married on 6 June. You may have forgotten it was an unseasonably wet Saturday, but it certainly didn’t dampen the joy they had on the day as you can see from their radiant faces. I was honoured to be asked to do Hermione’s bouquet and Tom’s buttonhole. The beautiful bamboo silk ribbon was dyed by Deborah with natural plant dye. It’s the most delicate pink I’ve ever come across
