Thank you Homes & Gardens for including our Dotty design in your edit for Charismatic Interiors.
Dotty is Sarah’s take on a favourite French 19th century floral blockprinted, brought up to date with her signature bolder colour palette. The delicate all-over pattern is framed on both sides by a contrasting red zig zag border.

Sarah’s latest fabric collection is intentionally eclectic, there isn’t a single theme or period that connects every design, and that is very much the point. Some patterns have a distinctly graphic, contemporary quality, others are inspired by the irregularities of hand weaving and hand printing.

Carlotta and Simba are two standout designs in this new collection, with roots in traditional textiles and decorative motifs.

The hallway in our London Vicarage project. We’ve always thought hallways are the unsung heroes of a house. We walk through them countless times a day, yet they can so easily be overlooked when it comes to decorating.

A hallway should feel just as considered as any other room. It’s often the first thing you see when you walk through the front door, so it has the rather important job of setting the mood for the rest of the house.

But it’s also about how a home flows. Hallways connect rooms, colours and ideas, and they’re a wonderful place to introduce something that ties everything together — whether that’s a favourite wallpaper, a great piece of furniture, interesting lighting or a collection of pictures gathered over the years.

And because you tend to pass through rather than linger, we think you can afford to have a little more fun with them too.

The hottest July on record has reminded us just how magical an English summer can be.

Long lunches in our favourite Cotswold’s pub garden Double Red Duke, gardens in full bloom, windows thrown open to the breeze, adventures on the river and long, light evenings.

A summer highlights is always a trip to Giffords Circus , the most charming and magical traditional travelling circus. 🎪

One of the questions I am asked most often when I launch a new fabric collection is where the inspiration comes from? The answer is, quite simply, everywhere.

I’ve always been drawn to pattern and seem to notice it wherever I go. This collection is deliberately eclectic, created through my lifelong fascination with pattern, colour and collected textiles.

These are designs created with interiors firmly in mind. Fabrics that will sit comfortably alongside both old and new, patterns that reflect the Vanrenen Hanbury distinctive approach to interiors: layered, characterful and never overly coordinated.

This sitting room in our Wiltshire Manor House project is a large, double aspect space. We decided to divide it into two distinct areas with the use of two back to back sofas. The oversized hexagonal Suzani covered ottoman was designed to add impact to this end of the room.
