When we undertake a new project, from the outset we work closely with our clients to truly understand how they want to live and how we can make that vision a reality.

This riverside apartment in London was a blank space that our client was downsizing to and bespoke joinery was essential to house cherished possessions from his previous home.

We worked closely with our team of skilled joiners to create beautiful, as well as practical, desk areas, storage and this beautiful display until that also conceals a TV.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING TRAIL & OPEN STUDIO
We’re delighted to be bringing together some of our favourite independent businesses for a very special day of Christmas shopping in and around our studio in Hungerford on Thursday 26th November, 9am - 4pm.

Join us at the Vanrenen Hanbury studio, where we’ll be opening our doors and displaying our collections of fabrics, cushions, lamps, lampshades and home accessories — perfect for a little pre-Christmas refresh or finding something special for your home.

We’ll be joined there by some wonderful friends and makers:

– handmade ceramics
SARAH.K – gorgeous table and bed linen, gifts and home accessories.

Next door, our neighbours at Ceri Cliss will have fabric remnants and cushions to discover.

Then follow the trail into Hungerford’s charming high street, where you’ll find independent treasures at every turn. Browse clothing and gifts at White Coco | Independent Women’s Clothing Boutique and Roxtons , explore the wonderful Award-winning Independent Bookshop Hungerford, West Berkshire , discover beautiful art at Mylo Art gallery across the canal on Bridge Street, and admire unique hand-painted furniture from Tammy johnston.

We’re so excited to bring these lovely local businesses together and celebrate everything that makes independent shopping so special .

Sarah and Laura have been working on some exciting new designs for their fabric and wallpaper collections and Sarah is delighted to be bringing them, along with their existing collections, to the The Design Social Pop-Up in Nashville next week.

Do reach out if you have any projects State Side that you would be interested in discussing with her.

She will also be visiting our showroom Travis Travis and Company in Atlanta. She’s looking forward to meeting friends, old and new, on her trip.

Simba was inspired by several different fabric fragments that Sarah combined to create this small over motif with an intricate border.

A beautiful heavyweight linen it can be used in so many ways, including on upholstery, like the pretty small sofa that we have just installed in a recent project.

A calm and elegant sitting room in a project in Nottinghill, London where we balanced neutrals with different scales of pattern, mixing stripes and geometrics with florals. The colour palette was inspired by our clients stunning collection of art.

Our new Bluebell light featured in this month’s The English Home magazine

Handmade in Britain from solid brass, Laura’s vision was to design a beautiful wall or hanging bedside light that is as beautiful when switched off as it is when illuminated.

As we settle into autumn we’re seeking out cosy corners, like this snug in a recent project. The wall colour creates a beautiful warm light with careful texture and pattern mixing helping to add comfort and personality.

Thank you to Homes & Gardens for including Pluma in their edit this month.

Pluma was inspired by a traditional vintage textile with wide horizontal zig-zag stripes, updated by Sarah to give it more of a modern geometric feel.

A cosy bedroom in our Oxford townhouse project. Located in the city but with a view of water meadows beyond, our client wanted us to create a sanctuary from the demands of a busy working life. We did just that in this master bedroom by layering texture and pattern. The curtains are in Lilac, our take on a traditional chintz. The wallpaper is from Guy Goodfellow Collection and the rug was sourced Tate & Darby Rugs
