All set up and ready to go!

We look forward to welcoming you to our stand from tomorrow until Sunday Cotswolds Decorative Antiques & Art Fair at Westonbirt School.

26/10/2026

Only a few days to go until ‘The Cotswolds Decorative Antiques & Art Fair’ , opens at Westonbirt School in Tetbury. Running from Friday 30th October until Sunday 1st November. You’ll find us in the Orangery.

Amongst the many genuine antique maps we will be bringing, you can find this very large map ( approx 38 x 24 inches ), of England and Wales by H. Moll, dated c.1730. Due to its size, it’s very unusual to find one in such good condition. With information about towns, counties and market days, running down both sides of the map, this is a particularly rare example. More details of this map can be found on our website, link in bio.

If you’d like more information about the antiques fair, please contact the organisers Cooper Antiques Fairs .

We look forward to seeing you there, whatever the weather!

This highly decorative antique map of Berkshire is just one of the maps that has recently been added to our website.

It can now be found at our upstairs space Great Grooms Antique Centre .

Dated c1627 it is by well known British map maker John Speed . With a beautiful illustrated view of Windsor Castle running alongside the top of the map, and embellished with a decorative cartouche; this really is a truly stunning example of John Speed’s work.

It is a copperplate engraving on hand made paper, and printed in the reign of Charles I .

How amazing is that!

The Man Behind The Maps!

You may have to wait a while .. he’ll be with you soon. There he is .. can you see him?!

We thought it was about time we should reintroduce the Boss, especially as we’ve had some new followers recently.

Having over 40 years experience in the antique business, firstly dealing at Stately Home antiques fairs, and later in the historic city of Bath, antique maps are Dave’s passion. In some ways you could say it’s an obsession!

Affectionately known as ‘Dave the Map’ to the trade, Dave’s 30 years in Bath were spent firstly at Bartlett Street Antiques Centre, before he opened ‘The Antique Map Shop’ on the world renowned Pulteney Bridge. After more than 20 years running this highly successful business at this location, he felt it was time to downsize to a more manageable space. I mean none of us are getting any younger!

We feel so lucky to have found this upstairs space , where the team are more than happy to help sell Dave’s maps.

The Boss can still be found at a few select Antiques Fairs, in Gloucestershire, where he is only too happy to chat all things map related!

If you have any questions about genuine antique maps, please feel free to contact us either on here, or through our website ( link in bio ) . Or if you’d like to view them in person then please do call into .

Wishing you a very happy bank holiday weekend 😎.

Men at work!

We’re back Great Grooms Antique Centre .

After a short change of scene at the Cotswolds Art & Antiques Fair, our maps are now back in Hungerford.

Many thanks to Ben of ‘Great Grooms’ for helping the boss hang his antique maps back in place, at our upstairs space.

Most maps now at the antiques centre can also be found on the Antique Map Shop’s website.

As always if you have any questions about our maps, please do feel free to get in touch.

We look forward to hearing from you 😎.

Getting Organised!

Here are just a few more John Speed maps that have recently been added to our website.

We’re also looking forward to re-stocking our upstairs space Great Grooms Antique Centre later this week.

Please do get in touch if you need any help with your choice of antique maps. They make great gifts for those interested in history, geography, genealogy - or merely a talking point as a decorative piece of art.

Contact details can be found on our website ( link in bio ), or please feel free to drop us a DM.

We look forward to hearing from you 😎.

And - that’s a wrap!

Huge thanks to all who visited our stand at the August Art & Antiques Fair, at Westonbirt School in Tetbury - over the weekend.

The weather was perfect and the fair was buzzing!

We were happy to hear that one of our globes would be adorning the shelves of the beautiful Travellers’ Tales London a bijou book and travel shop.

As always it was great catching up with the other dealers, and sharing the heartwarming sense of community.

Please swipe for a few of the items that caught our attention at this event, and check out the tagged dealers.

Once again thanks to Cooper Antiques Fairs for organising such a fab event, and we look forward to returning in the autumn 😎🍁.
