✨ The Headboard is Having a Moment ✨

Move over feature walls... there’s a new statement-maker in town.

One of the most exciting bedroom trends I’m seeing right now is the rise of elongated, exaggerated headboards. Think oversized silhouettes, sweeping curves, eclectic shapes, luxurious fabrics, and bespoke detailing that stretches beyond the width of the bed itself.

But this trend is about much more than aesthetics.

In a world of flat-pack furniture and fast interiors, these headboards are a celebration of true craftsmanship. Each one feels like a piece of functional art, carefully designed, expertly upholstered, and completely unique to the home it belongs in.

What I love most is the personality they bring to a space. Whether upholstered in rich velvet, playful stripes, bold patterns or calming neutrals, they instantly transform a bedroom from somewhere you sleep into somewhere you experience.

As homeowners increasingly seek spaces that feel personal and meaningful, bespoke pieces like these are becoming the new luxury. Not because they’re extravagant, but because they’re created with intention.

The best interiors aren’t copied from a catalogue. They’re designed around the people who live in them.

Would you choose a statement headboard in your bedroom, or do you prefer a more understated look? Let me know below. 👇

🌿 COLOUR SPOTLIGHT: MINT GREEN

Fresh, and effortlessly , green is a colour that brings the restorative feeling of nature indoors. Psychologically, green is associated with , harmony and , while the softer mint tones add a sense of freshness and optimism. It’s a colour that helps create spaces where you can relax, recharge and feel connected to the natural world.

In the home, mint green works beautifully in kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and garden rooms. Its soft, airy quality can make smaller spaces feel larger and brighter, while pairing it with natural materials such as oak, linen, rattan and stone creates a timeless, organic look. For a more sophisticated feel, combine mint green with warm brass accents, deep navy or rich terracotta tones.

💡 Interesting Fact:

Green is the colour our eyes find easiest to process because it sits in the middle of the visible colour spectrum. This is one reason why green spaces and green interiors often feel so restful and comfortable to spend time in.

Whether used as a subtle accent or across an entire room, mint green has a wonderful ability to create interiors that feel fresh, welcoming and full of life.

Would you bring mint green into your home? Tell me where you’d use it in the comments below ⬇️

I’d love to hear about your project. Getting in touch is easy, either DM us, email us at [email protected] or visit our website to complete the contact form. 💫

Pink and green… the colour combination that never fails to make a home feel beautiful, balanced and deeply comforting. 🌸🌿

But why does it work so well?

Because colour affects how we feel.

Green is grounding, restorative and calming. It connects us back to nature — something many of us are craving more than ever in our busy, overstimulated lives. It creates a sense of exhale.

Pink, on the other hand, brings warmth, softness and emotional comfort. It adds optimism and gentle energy without overwhelming a space.

Together? They create harmony.

As our lives become faster, louder and more digital, we’re seeing a huge shift away from cold, clinical interiors and towards homes that feel nurturing, restful and emotionally supportive.

Homes are no longer just somewhere we sleep.
They’ve become sanctuaries.

And pink and green capture that feeling perfectly:
🌿 calm but uplifting
🌿 fresh but cosy
🌿 playful but timeless

Whether it’s a sage green kitchen with blush accents, a deep olive living room with dusky pink upholstery, or botanical wallpapers paired with rosy tones… this combination always brings a sense of life and balance into a space.

The outside inspiring the inside — just as it should. ✨

Would you use pink and green in your home?

The outside always inspires the inside 🌿✨

A summer meadow becomes the starting point for a joyful kitchen filled with wildflower tones.
Turquoise seas and colourful boats inspire a bathroom layered with fresh blues, sun-faded corals and soft sandy textures.

Because the most beautiful interiors rarely begin in a showroom… they begin with a feeling.

Nature gives us the perfect colour palettes. The warmth of sunsets. The richness of mossy forests. The calm of coastal skies. The drama of stormy hillsides. When we look outside for inspiration, our homes instantly feel more grounded, more personal and more connected to us.

The secret is knowing how to pull those colours together in a way that feels balanced, timeless and completely you.

You know you want a home with personality, warmth and soul… but translating inspiration into a cohesive forever home can feel overwhelming.

At Ben the Hoose Interiors, we help colour lovers turn inspiration into interiors that feel layered, confident and lived in — homes inspired by the world outside your window 🌾

Which natural landscape inspires you most? ⛰️🌊🌸

“Go grey,” they said.
“Grey is timeless,” they said.

But here’s the truth… too much grey can often leave a home feeling cold, flat and completely soulless.

In colour psychology, grey is associated with neutrality and emotionlessness. When overused, it can make a space feel uninspiring rather than relaxing — especially in rooms where warmth and comfort matter most.

If you’ve inherited a grey interior after buying a new home, don’t panic. You don’t need to start again — you simply need to layer personality back into the space.

Here’s how to warm up a grey interior:
• Add colour through furniture and accessories
• Introduce drama with wallpaper and pattern
• Bring in warmth with natural woods and textured materials
• Create cosiness with shaggy rugs, layered fabrics and fluffy cushions

The best colours to pair with grey?
• Grey + Pink
• Grey + Burgundy
• Grey + Blue
• Grey + Orange

Grey works best when it becomes the backdrop — not the whole personality of the room.

Your home should make you feel something. Warmth. Comfort. Joy. Personality.

Tell me… do you still love grey interiors, or are you ready to bring colour back into the home?

DM me “GREY” if you need help transforming a grey space into a home with warmth, personality and atmosphere.
