Rapid response on-site at J&D Pierce this morning following last night’s heavy storm! 🌪️🌧️
A fallen tree took down a section of the perimeter security fencing and completely blocked the road and footpath. The Alter Supplies & Contracting team was out quickly to safely clear the fallen tree, sweep the debris, and complete an emergency fence repair to get the site secure and accessible again.

Sharpening skills and sharing knowledge with the best in the trade! 🔨🌾
Last week, a team of 10 from Alter Supplies & Contracting headed to Northumberland College for the AFI (Association of Fencing Industries) Best Fencing Practice Day.
It was a fantastic, hands-on event packed with live demonstrations, expert insights, and practical problem-solving. Our team got right into the thick of it:
Checking out the latest kit and machinery in action
Looking at wire termination, knotting, and post-driving techniques
Learning directly from industry demonstrators and fellow contractors across the UK
Investing in training and staying connected with industry best practices ensures we deliver nothing but the highest-standard fencing and contracting work for our clients.
A big thank you to the AFI, Northumberland College, and all the demonstrators and sponsors for putting on such an informative and well-run day!
