✨ This beautiful Late Victorian keepsake brooch dates from the 1880s and is a lovely example of Classical Revival jewellery.
Made with 15 and 22 carat gold gilding, it has a rich, warm golden colour typical of high-carat Victorian jewellery. The brooch is circular, measuring approximately 3.1 cm in diameter, with a raised design that catches the light beautifully.

The centre features a smooth gold section surrounded by an ornate floral-inspired pattern. Fine wirework, delicate granulation, twisted rope borders and small polished beads add texture and detail. Repeating circular motifs and a neat beaded edge complete the design.

The reverse has a traditional hinged pin fitting and a glazed keepsake compartment, showing that the brooch was designed to hold something personal as well as being worn.

The brooch weighs 10.53 grams and remains in very good condition for its age

Well, it’s fair to say this ring had a bit of a rough day…

This beautiful antique emerald and diamond ring came to us after it had been run over by a car!! Yes, you read that correctly.

The damage was significant, and the customer had already been turned away by other jewellers who were understandably nervous about taking on such a delicate restoration.

We were confident we could bring this ring back to life.

With plenty of patience, care and years of experience working with antique and vintage jewellery, our skilled craftsmen carefully assessed the damage and set about restoring the ring, piece by piece.

And somehow, after everything it had been through, it came out the other side looking rather splendid!

We’re very fortunate to have craftsmen who enjoy a challenge, especially when there’s a beautiful piece of history worth saving.✨

The emerald is complemented by 54 old mine-cut diamonds, totalling approximately 3.10 carats, each presented in elegant rub-over, open-back settings that allow the stones to capture and reflect the light beautifully. 💚

The refined design is finished with a delicate 16.5” platinum trace chain. Tested platinum and 18-carat gold, this exceptional antique jewel combines the rich character of an early 20th-century emerald with timeless Edwardian beauty.
