Tonight at 7pm, the Canada Curation lands on Dantique.
I wanted this collection to feel like Canada did while I was there: varied, eclectic and full of surprises.
Ontario is such a wonderfully diverse place, geographically, culturally and visually. From Toronto’s mix of modern city life and global influences, to the smaller towns, antique centres, roadside finds and communities scattered throughout the province, there was never really one “Canadian” aesthetic to pin down.
And that’s exactly what I loved about sourcing there. The variety was incredible, and the pieces I came across reflected that too, from Mid-Century and primitive pieces to folk-inspired objects, ceramics, brass, salvage, sculpture and plenty of wonderfully unexpected historical finds.
The result is a pretty eclectic snapshot of what I found along the way. Basically, a little piece of my Canadian road trip, now available to take home.
