We’re taking part in Sophie & Abby | Super Seconds Festival on 3rd–4th October! 🎉
In the run-up to the event, I’ll be sharing lots more information about what we’ll have on offer. But first, here’s a little bit about us! 👋
We’re Aya & Danny, the duo behind ALT Hackney.
During lockdown, I had an idea for a rectangular plant pot and thought, why not give it a go and make it myself? So, I taught myself 3D design, 3D printing and mould making, and then discovered the wonderful eco-friendly material Jesmonite.
Since then, we’ve been creating all sorts of homewares and Christmas ornaments in different styles. As I’m originally from Japan, I initially wanted to create a Scandi-Japandi style, but since Danny, my partner, joined me, we’ve also been creating lots of colourful and maximalist designs. 🌈
A few things about us:
☕ I love coffee. Danny doesn’t.
🎶 I love electronic music. Danny isn’t a fan.
🌶️ I love spicy food. Danny can’t handle it.
But somehow, we’re still partners in crime! 😂❤️
We’ve never taken part in a seconds sale before, so after 4 years of making, we have quite a lot of seconds stock waiting for a new home!

10月３日と４日に開催されるスーパーセコンズフェスティバルに参加させていただくことになりました！
イベントに向けて、これから販売する商品についていろいろご紹介していきます。まずは、私たちについて少しご紹介します！👋
私は、Ayaで、私のパートナーのDannyとALT Hackneyを運営しています。
ロックダウン中に夢に見た、四角い植木鉢を作ってみたいと思い、「自分で作ってみよう！」と考えたのがきっかけでした。そこから、3Dデザイン、3Dプリント、型作りを独学で学び、その後、環境にやさしい素材ジェスモナイトに出会いました。
それ以来、さまざまなスタイルのインテリア雑貨やクリスマスデコレーションを作っています。
私はもともと日本出身なので、最初は北欧ジャパンディスタイルを目指していました。でも、パートナーのダニーが加わってからは、カラフルでマキシマリストなデザインもいろいろ作るようになりました。🌈
私たちについて少しご紹介すると……
☕ Coffee | コーヒー — 私は大好き。でもダニーは苦手です。
🎶私はエレクトロニックミュージックが大好きですがダニーはあまり好きではないです。
🌶️ 私は辛い食べ物が大好きですが、ダニーは辛いものが苦手です。
そんな私たちですが、今でも仲良く二人で制作しております！😂❤️
