The beauty of vintage and the use of older elements in contemporary settings to help bring a warm, lived-in feel to a space. We’ve been having many conversations around this recently and I think this is part of a slow and unconscious movement away from mass production, copy-cat interiors (including all the cheap copies of iconic designs found online) and people wanting things that feel genuine and authentic and interesting things with stories and a past. Maybe / maybe not (!) but I love having the conversations and I love sourcing pieces to include in our work - those little gems that are picked up along the way or found at markets and auctions. Whether it’s furniture, lighting, art, or decor - there are many ways to incorporate beautiful aged pieces. Hallelujah for this !
It also works the other way round.. using contemporary things in older spaces.. that’s another post - the mix of old and new never fails ❤️
Here’s a handful of older things we have used in newer projects over the years x x
