FLOWER SCHOOL 🔔 Lesson 2: Front-Facing Arranging

Ever wondered how to make a bunch look twice as lush against a wall, fireplace mantle, or hallway console table? The secret is all in the geometry. 📐

1. Choose your viewpoint to decide where the centre of your arrangement is going to be
2. Visualise the overall shape you want
3. Balance your colour to make sure you have a nice even spread throughout

When your vase isn’t sitting in the middle of a dining table, you don’t need 360-degree symmetry. Place your tallest foliage and focal stems at the back, build a staggered cascade through the middle, and let short, nodding blooms frame the front rim. Go asymmetrical like us, or choose a more balanced classic look.

FLOWER SCHOOL 🔔 Lesson 1: Common Mistakes...

Ever wondered why your beautiful stems wilt sooner than they should? Sometimes the smallest habits make the biggest difference. Here are 3 common mistakes that might be killing your flowers:

🍃Leaf Laziness: Strip away any foliage sitting below the vase waterline so it doesn’t decay and breed bacteria.
🍃The Wrong Vase: A full look is fab, but overcrowding chokes your stems. Give your blooms room to breathe!
🍃Dirty Water: An absolute no. Wash your vase thoroughly before use and refresh the water regularly to keep things squeaky clean.

A little bit of vase prep goes a remarkably long way. Giving your stems clean water and space to breathe will easily add days to your arrangement’s vase life!
