I’m officially peony shaming myself.

As I was putting together my July round up, I realised I didn’t post a single peony photo all season!
Considering they featured in almost every weekly bouquet and countless bespoke orders, that’s quite the oversight!
I’m blaming the heatwave and that we were too busy making them to remember to photograph them🤦🏻‍♀️

When peony season arrives, my mantra is always: peonies with everything. They never hang around for long, and every year I wish the season lasted just a little longer.

It occurred to me that I haven’t shared much about our process and what goes into creating a bridal bouquet.

For us, the bridal bouquet is the most personal piece we make. It’s a privilege to be trusted with it.

Every bouquet is bespoke. We think about your dress, your proportions, your complexion and your style. We want it to feel like your bouquet, not just a beautiful bouquet. Even the choice of ribbon and the way it’s tied is intentional.

The moment the flowers arrive from the market, the best stems are carefully set aside. They’re meticulously conditioned so that, on the wedding day, whatever the weather, every bloom is at its peak.

It takes much longer than most people imagine to make a bridal bouquet. We tweak and refine until it feels just right.

Movement is everything. We recess stems to create depth, shape and a softer, more natural silhouette.

You’ll carry it down the aisle, hold it for most of the day, and see it every time you look back at your wedding photographs. The little details matter 🤍

A few moments from recent weeks 🤍

I’ve been moving slowly since Mum’s funeral, which was the perfect send-off for her. There’s been precious time with Clem, family, dear friends, flowers, laughter and tears, and deep gratitude for the people who have shown up for us in so many ways.
The kindness shown to Clem and me has meant more than I can say.

Flowers have been a comfort, as they always are. Making beautiful things with my hands has felt especially good right now.

I’m starting to think May might just be my favourite time for flowers. Gardens and parks are absolutely bursting into life.

This month, our weekly bouquets will be celebrating the abundance of May’s spoils.
There’s just so much to choose from, expect peonies, butterfly ranunculus, lilacs, and of course sweet peas, bringing all the soft, frothy textures of the season.

I’m heartbroken to share that my dear mum passed away suddenly last week.

We are devastated.

Those of you who know me will understand how close we were, and how much of a constant support she was in my life with everything, including my work, and especially with Clem.

London has burst into bloom over the last few weeks and it’s breathtaking.
I can’t seem to go anywhere without stopping to take pics (though they’re mostly not winners!)
