Eamon of Goldsmith & Perris pictured beside Alfie Gray in the early days of Alfies. When Bennie Gray founded Alfies Antique Market, he named it after his father, Alfie Gray - whose warmth, character and spirit became part of the identity of the market itself.

As Alfies celebrates 50 years, it feels only right to honour those who have dedicated so much of their lives to it. Eamon of Goldsmith and Perris remain Alfies’ longest-standing dealers, having traded here for almost the entirety of the market’s history.

From silver tableware and cocktail shakers to perfume bottles, Sheffield Plate, antique lighting and elegant objects for the table, Goldsmith & Perris have long been known for their beautifully curated stand and deep knowledge of decorative antiques.

Presented to The Queen on her 60th birthday, they remain one of the great enduring names of Alfies.

On Thursday the 9th of July, Alfies celebrates 50 years - and we are preparing for what may well be our biggest celebration yet.

For half a century, this building has remained a meeting place for collectors, designers, dealers, artists, and those who simply love old things and the stories they carry.

50 years of Alfies.

On Thursday 9th July, from 5 - 8pm, we invite you to celebrate with us as Alfies Antique Market marks its 50th birthday with a special late opening.

There will be live music throughout the evening, entertainment across the market and a few surprises along the way - including the arrival of Pearly Kings and Queens in true London style.

For half a century, Alfies has remained one of the last great places of discovery in London. A place built on knowledge, character and community. Generations of dealers have traded here, collectors have travelled from around the world to visit, and countless friendships and stories have unfolded within these walls.

Alfies continues to champion craftsmanship, history and the thrill of finding something entirely unexpected.

Whether you have visited for years or are discovering us for the first time, we would love you to join us in celebrating 50 remarkable years.
