Expanding our knowledge of hospitality lighting with So It Is Design Studio đź’ˇ

Last week, lighting expert Magdalena Gomez, founder of So It Is Design, spent two days at our Sensio HQ running educational workshops. With over 20 years of experience across hospitality, wellness, luxury residential and commercial environments, as well as human-centric lighting, and plenty of incredible projects under her belt, Magdalena shared fantastic insight into hospitality lighting through a designer’s lens.

From the fundamentals of lighting to specifier expectations, colour temperature and controls, our marketing, product, training and sales teams all had the chance to sit in and learn more about illuminating hospitality sector.

Yesterday we welcomed Uform to Sensio’s HQ! 💡

As a market-leading manufacturer and distributor of an extensive range of doors and accessories serving the kitchen, bedroom and furniture trade, Uform joined us for a day of hands-on training with our product range, alongside sessions covering who we are as a business, our marketing activity and so much more that goes on behind the scenes.

Having Uform onsite meant open, honest conversations with our sales, training and marketing teams, a real chance to understand each other’s priorities and spot opportunities as we grow the partnership together.

Getting face-to-face with our partners matters to us. Days like this are all about building the relationship and laying strong foundations for what’s next.

We had a fantastic time exhibiting at HPX last week for our distribution partner, Hill’s Panel Products. It was a pleasure connecting with some of the KBB industry’s finest retailers, designers, installers and manufacturers, giving us the opportunity to introduce our lighting range and educate attendees on the power of quality illumination.

Teaming up with Palio by Karndean gave us a brilliant platform to demonstrate how different lighting temperatures and styles can completely transform the appearance of the materials beneath them and enhances the overall finish of interior projects.

New JB4 detachable connectors for cleaner installs đź’ˇ

Developed to eliminate the need for large cable holes, upgrade your installations with our new detachable JB4 connectors.

Simply snip the standard connector off your cable, cut to the required length, feed through your 4mm drill hole and then attach the JB4 connector. With no cable stripping required, JB4s are ideal for simple and clean installations.

Why is our Universal Remote Control™ so popular? 🤔

It lets you manage multiple lights, colours, and devices with a single handheld tool. Think open-plan kitchen, dining and living; with the universal remote you can control each zone separately. The universal remote goes beyond a simple on/off; it allows you to change the colour option of your lights, from warm white to cool white (with CCT strips) or be playful and change your lights to purple (with RGBCCT strips), as well as the brightness of each zone, all in one control system.

How to pair and use our Titan™ Smart Kinetic Switch ⚡

Without the need for wiring or batteries, kinetic switches can be installed quickly and easily anywhere in your space. This flexibility allows for optimal placement and convenient access, making them a popular option for our customers. You may be wondering how does this work? Well, Kinetic switches harness the energy generated from the physical act of pressing the switch which converts into a small electrical charge that powers the switch’s signal transmission to the receiver.

Designed to work seamlessly with the Titan™ Smart Kinetic Drivers, these switches can control single colour and CCT LEDs. To pair, simply hold down on the Kinetic Switch Reset button on your driver until a blue light begins to flash. Next, press down on your kinetic switch until this disappears, and just like that, pairing is complete. You will now be able to turn your lights on and off alongside adjusting brightness. If you have CCT lights, select a 2 or 3 gang kinetic switch to also change your LED temperature. 💡
