Another mezzanine floor complete in Cardiff 🏗️

We recently handed over this steel mezzanine for a client in Cardiff, adding a full second level of usable space inside their existing unit without the cost or disruption of moving premises.

The install included:

✅ Structural steel frame and boarded deck
✅ Full-perimeter handrail and knee rail for edge protection
✅ Steel staircase with half landing, chequer plate treads and high-visibility yellow anti-slip nosings
✅ Clear, open space underneath, keeping the ground floor free for storage and forklift access

The result is a clean, safe and practical space ready for storage, offices or production, whatever the business needs as it grows.

If you're running out of room, the answer might be above you. A mezzanine is often the quickest and most cost-effective way to double your usable floor area.

Another impressive transformation completed for Padel Pals in London.

Working alongside the Padel Pals team, we delivered a complete mezzanine solution designed to maximise the available space within the facility.

Our works included:

🔹 Mezzanine Floor Installation
🔹 Fire Protection
🔹 Suspended Ceilings
🔹 Handrails & Edge Protection

The finished mezzanine has created a fantastic additional level above the courts, providing space for gym facilities and spectator areas, while keeping the main floor available for what matters most, padel. 🎾

Why are mezzanines ideal for padel clubs?

With the rapid growth of padel, operators are looking for ways to get more from their existing buildings.

A well-designed mezzanine can help you:

✅ Maximise floor space without increasing your building footprint
✅ Create additional revenue-generating areas
✅ Add gyms and fitness facilities
✅ Create spectator and viewing areas overlooking the courts
✅ Add cafés, bars and social spaces
✅ Provide additional storage, offices or staff facilities
✅ Make use of the often-unused vertical space in large industrial units
✅ Improve the overall customer experience and facilities
✅ Expand your offering without the cost and disruption of relocating
and importantly, a mezzanine can be designed as part of the wider fit-out, incorporating fire protection, ceilings, lighting, stairs, handrails and other requirements into one coordinated project.

At Western Industrial Business Interiors, we provide complete mezzanine solutions for commercial and leisure facilities across the UK. Planning a new padel club or looking to maximise an existing facility?

Glass-partitioned offices and meeting rooms are one of the most effective ways to define space while maintaining a clean, contemporary feel. Instead of closing off your environment with solid walls, glass allows natural light to flow throughout the office, creating a brighter, more connected workspace.

From a functional standpoint, glass partitioning helps clearly section off areas for collaboration, private meetings, or focused work without making the office feel smaller or restricted. It’s a smart solution for balancing transparency and privacy.

Whether you’re designing a new office or upgrading an existing layout, glass partitions offer:

✔ Defined spaces without visual clutter
✔ Improved light distribution
✔ A modern, high-end aesthetic
✔ Flexibility for future reconfiguration

A well-planned office isn’t just about furniture it’s about how the space works together. Glass partitioning plays a key role in making that happen.
