Hand made glass After 36 Years of working in an office I decided it was time to try something new. Each piece is unique and we loved making each and every one.

I’ve always been creative and wanted to do something that would combine creativity with my need to challenge myself technically. Glass is perfect, there are so many things to make, different techniques to learn and develop it could never get boring. This page contains glass made by me (Sally) and my mum (Margaret). Our glass is very precious to us I am not keen to send larger items in the post or by courier. I am happy to personally deliver within a 15 mile radius of Moulton and if like our glass but live further away, please message me. More pictures of our glass can be found on Instagram

My last 5 hour workshop of 2026 at lamport_hall is coming up on 22nd October and there are still a couple of places available to book. The workshop is great for complete beginners and as well as more accomplished participants as you have a very wide choice of things to make and the small group size means I can give you as much attention as you need to make a fabulous piece of glass. My workshops at Lamport Hall are booking up fast! We’ve now added a new date for the Trees and Snowflakes workshop on Friday 20th November as the first two are already fully booked. Bookings for January are filling up fast too.

Christmas workshops are a great introduction to working with glass as they are only 2.5 hours long and the pieces are simple to make. Saying that, all of my workshops are suitable for beginners and those with experience as there are lots of choices of things to make and with a maximum of 8 people per class means I can give everyone the attention they need.

The last weekend of our Open Studios pop up exhibition at Blisworth is about to start. It’s been a fantastic exhibition so far and I’m really looking to meeting lots more visitors in our last few days.

I always forget to ask customers to review my workshops but the number of people that keep coming back shows I must be doing something right. I recently received this review from one of my regular customers:

I had an absolutely fabulous weekend in the Brewers Yard Studios at Northants & Rutland Open Studios at Lamport Hall. I’m blown away by the sales I made which far exceeded my expectations. My workshops at Lamport Hall are filling up fast too. There is only one space left on 3rd October and my Trees and Snowflakes workshop on 7th November is already fully booked.

I really want to thank everyone who took the time to chat to me about my work at the weekend and especially to the lovely customers who bought a piece of glass or booked on to one of my workshops.

My next Open Studios event is at Blisworth with 9 other very talented artists from the 19th to the 27th September. I need to get busy making more pieces between now and the 19th and I hope to see you there.

I can’t wait for the launch of this years Northants & Rutland Open Studios on Friday evening. If you’re planning to visit the Central Exhibition at Lamport Hall this weekend please pop into the Brewers Yard studios where, for one weekend only, you will be able to see a much wider range of my work. I am sharing the space with the fabulous Samantha Brockway, Katy Dynes and Alyssa Robinson so there is plenty to see.

Second piece finished for the Northants & Rutland Open Studios Central Exhibition Lamport Hall. Had a bit of a heart stopping moment when the stainless steel former got stuck inside but a bit of gentle coaxing got it out eventually 😅.

Can’t wait for this years Northants & Rutland Open Studios and I’m really enjoying coming up with new designs for my exhibitions. My kilns are really not liking this heat though, I find it amazing (and more than a bit frustrating that they can go up to 900 degrees C inside but have a hissy fit and turn off if it gets to the mid 30s in the studio!

I’m having a fabulous day Northampton Museum & Art Gallery. I’ve met lots of lovely people and sold really well. I’ve sent lots of people into the museums selling gallery to see some of my bigger pieces and I’m really chuffed to say I have sold my large bowl. As usual I forgot to take a picture of the bowl with it’s lovely new owner (I’m so rubbish at this social media business😳) but I’ve attached a picture of it on it’s own 🙂.
