The Wave of Light marks the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week, with people invited to light a candle at 7pm in memory of every baby lost during pregnancy, at birth or in infancy.

Continuing the story of J. Wagstaff Funeral Directors. 🤍

Between 1954 and 1970, Jack and Margaret continued to grow the family business while raising their four children in Peacehaven. The next generation soon became involved too, with Noreen joining at 18 and Alistair continuing the family tradition of carpentry and building.

Jack’s commitment extended beyond the family business and into the community he called home. He helped design and build Peacehaven’s first War Memorial, supported the Poppy Appeal for many years and became a local parish councillor in 1960.

A proud family history, closely connected to Peacehaven and its community.
