👩‍🏫 FLOWER SCHOOL - Week 8 💐

Yesterday we learnt a little about the history of floristry focusing on the incredibly talented Constance Spry. Constance Spry revolutionised floral design in the 1930’s by using unconventional containers, garden weeds, vegetables and field flowers inspired by Dutch Golden Age paintings.

We also learnt about colour theory and the shape and form elements of floristry. By lunchtime my head hurt! 🤯😂

The afternoon session was spent creating our very own Constance Spry dish arrangements and to my absolute joy we got to be creative using my absolute favourite ‘amnesia’ rose.
