🛏️ REAL HOMES | Now THAT'S a headboard!

If you like your bed to make a bit of a statement, meet the Limelight Carmen. 😍

Recently delivered to another customer's home, the Carmen features this gorgeous oversized geometric headboard, upholstered here in Natural.

It's contemporary without being too fussy and makes a real feature of the bed – especially against a simple wall like this one.

The Carmen is available in:

You can also choose an Ottoman version, giving you plenty of hidden storage underneath the mattress – ideal for bedding, towels, clothes... or all the other things you don't quite know where to put!

This one has also been paired with the Eden 3000 mattress from our own Arches bed collection.

And judging by the rigorous comfort testing taking place in the first photo, we think it passed. 😂

Recent fitting ✨

Now this was a lovely one to work on!

Our fitting team recently fitted Charter Berber Deluxe, an 80% wool, 20% polypropylene carpet, throughout this beautiful and rather characterful home.

From winding staircases to exposed beams and plenty of interesting angles, the finished result looks fantastic. The soft, natural tone works beautifully with all those original features too. 😍

A wool blend is a great choice for busy areas of the home, combining the natural look and feel of wool with added practicality and durability.

🏡 REAL HOMES | Stripes that make a statement

There's something about a striped carpet on a staircase that just works. 😍

This recent installation uses Crucial Trading Mississippi in Deep Thinking, taking the stripes right through the stairs, landings and hallway.

And this is where expert fitting really matters.

With a striped carpet, there's nowhere to hide! The lines draw your eye along the floor, so getting everything straight and beautifully aligned – particularly around stairs, corners and those trickier little details – makes all the difference.

We love the combination of warm browns, soft neutrals and blue-grey tones in this one. It adds plenty of interest without overpowering the space, and works beautifully with the soft pink walls.

If you're considering something a little different for your stairs or hallway, don't be afraid of pattern. A stripe can be a brilliant way to add character to an area of the home that's often overlooked.

We're now proud to stock Amtico luxury vinyl flooring, and we've created a whole new area of the showroom so you can come in, browse the different collections and see just how many possibilities there are.

If you haven't come across Amtico before, it's a premium LVT flooring that combines the beautiful look of natural wood and stone with the practicality you need for everyday life.

And when it comes to choice… there is a LOT. 😍

Wood effects, stone, parquet, herringbone, traditional designs, contemporary styles – and plenty of different colours and finishes too.

Our new displays include Amtico First, Spacia, Form, Signature and Décor, giving you the chance to see and compare the different ranges properly rather than trying to choose a floor from a tiny sample.

😴 5 signs it might be time for a new mattress...

Another recent delivery from The Arches, and this time we're talking beds!

This customer chose the Limelight Polaris Ottoman Bed Frame in Natural, paired with the Eden 3000 mattress from our very own Arches bed collection.

We love the tall, statement headboard on the Polaris – but there's more to this bed than good looks. Lift the mattress and underneath you'll find a generous amount of hidden storage, making an ottoman bed a brilliant option when you want to make the most of every bit of bedroom space.

The Polaris is available in Natural, Navy or Silver, with a non-storage version also available if you don't need the extra space.

❓ Do I need new underlay when replacing my carpet?

Our answer? 100% yes.

When you're investing in a quality carpet, it deserves a quality foundation too.

Good underlay doesn't just make your carpet feel softer underfoot, it can also:
✔ Help your carpet last longer
✔ Add extra comfort and warmth
✔ Improve insulation and reduce noise
✔ Protect your investment

It can be tempting to reuse your existing underlay, but if it's worn or compressed, your new carpet won't perform as well as it should.

🏡 REAL HOMES | Beautiful flooring, fitted to last

We love seeing a whole project come together – and this recent installation is a lovely example of how different carpets can work beautifully throughout the same home.

For the stairs and landings, we fitted Brockway Kentmere Loop. The textured loop gives it a really lovely natural look, while working perfectly alongside all those gorgeous oak details. 😍

Then into the bedroom and dressing room, the customer chose Associated Weavers Orion in Biscuit – a softer, luxurious carpet in a warm neutral shade that works beautifully with the colours throughout the home.

And can we take a moment for those stairs? 👏

There are plenty of corners, turns and details to work around here, which is where expert fitting really makes a difference. The finished result looks so neat against the timber edging.
