This is a great opportunity to combine a secure basic wage with the potential for excellent uncapped commission.

The Role

Provide a first-class shopping experience for all our customers in the showroom.
Offer expert advice on our range of flooring products to help customers find the perfect solution for their needs.
Generate quotes, process sales, and accurately handle customer payments.
Proactively follow up with customer enquiries, both in-store and over the phone.
The Reward

Competitive Basic Salary: £13.00 per hour with an increase based on performance
Uncapped Commission: A rewarding bonus based on your personal sales performance paid monthly.
Full Training: Comprehensive product training will be provided, so previous flooring experience is not essential.
Generous Staff Discount: Attractive discounts on our extensive product range.
A Friendly Team: Work with a small team in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Sundays and Bank Holidays off
About You

You are a naturally friendly and confident communicator.
You have excellent people skills and a passion for customer service.
You are target-driven and motivated by a commission structure.
You are reliable, well-organised, and able to work independently.
Some retail or sales experience is a plus, but a positive attitude is most important. All training will be provided

From check-out to check-in... in just 5½ hours! 👊

This 3-bedroom holiday let at the ever-popular Whitbarrow Holiday Village received a complete flooring transformation in a single day.

The guests checked out just before 11am, the cleaners worked their magic, and by 11am our team was on site with all hands on deck.

✅ Moved all the furniture
✅ Uplifted the existing carpets and underlay
✅ Installed brand-new underlay and carpets throughout
✅ Returned all the furniture to its original position
✅ Removed and disposed of all waste
✅ Even moved the old sofas out, ready for the new ones arriving later that day

Everything was completed, cleaned up, and ready for the next guests arriving at 4:30pm.

It's projects like this that show what we're all about. We don't just fit flooring—we make the whole process as smooth and stress-free as possible, working around tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

A fully tucked and pinned loop pile carpet on a double staircase. 👌

Jobs like this are what separate us from the cowboys. You don't achieve a finish like this unless you know exactly what you're doing.

Loop pile carpets are an incredible choice, especially the higher-end wool ranges. They look fantastic—but they're also notoriously difficult to fit properly on a staircase.

If they're not installed correctly, the rows of loops can spread apart, leaving unsightly gaps that completely spoil the finish.

Not when we fit them.

And here's the best bit... this wasn't even a range we stocked.

The customer told us exactly what they were looking for, so we went away and sourced the perfect carpet to match their description.

How did we manage that?

Because we're just that good. 😎

A stunning new build, now complete and ready for its new owners to move in.

This was an absolute pleasure to work on from start to finish. No expense was spared, with every detail carefully considered to create an exceptional finish and outstanding quality throughout.

This phenomenal new build has been completed ahead of the move in in a few days time.

Fully prepped and carpeted from our stock range meant for a quick and efficient turn around and an amazing line of carpet at an even more amazing price!!

What a joy this was to work on, and we, at Bowmans, are so happy its ready to move into on Monday.

Some carpet fitting jobs are straightforward.

An empty room, a clean fit, and you're in and out in under half an hour.

Then there are jobs like this...

Crawling under a spiral staircase, trimming 5mm of carpet at a time around every spindle, checking every cut, and making sure every edge is spot on.

Which do we prefer?

Honestly... both.

The quick jobs keep the day moving and still deserve the same attention to detail.

But it's the challenging carpet fitting jobs that really showcase the craft. They test your patience, your precision, and your experience.

There's nothing quite like standing back at the end, looking at a staircase that looked impossible when you started, and thinking...

"We did that."

That's what makes carpet fitting so rewarding.
