Did you know you can get a quality carpet for less by choosing an offcut or end-of-roll?

These are simply sections left over from larger carpet rolls, often available at a reduced price. They're a particularly good option if you're carpeting a smaller bedroom, home office or another space where you don't need a large amount of carpet.

We stock a wide selection of offcuts and roll ends at our Portslade warehouse, including carpets from well-known manufacturers. Many are available to take away the same day, and our stock changes regularly.

If you've got a room in mind, pop in and see what we have available. It helps to bring your room measurements so we can find something suitable.

Meet the man behind the name 👋

Greg started his career in the flooring trade in Portslade back in 1977, learning the craft through the family business before helping to build what would eventually become Greg Stone Carpets & Flooring.

Over the years, the business has grown, moved premises and expanded its flooring range, but the values behind it have stayed the same. Friendly advice, quality products and a personal service are still at the heart of what we do.

One of the things we are most proud of is the loyalty of our customers, with many families returning to us over two or even three generations.

More than 40 years on, we are still proud to serve the local community and help customers find the right flooring for their homes.

Commercial flooring needs to do more than simply look the part. 🏢

Contract carpet is designed for spaces where durability, appearance and practicality all matter. From offices and retail spaces to other busy commercial environments, choosing the right carpet can make a real difference to how the space looks and performs.

It is worth considering foot traffic, the type of premises, how easy the flooring will be to maintain and the overall look you want to create.

We can help you choose a suitable option, bring samples to your premises, measure the space and provide a quotation.

Need flooring that can keep up with a busy home?

Luxury Vinyl Tile is a great option where you want flooring to look good without being difficult to maintain.

LVT is durable, easy to clean and available in a wide range of realistic wood and stone-effect finishes. It also works well in rooms such as kitchens, hallways and living spaces where spills, muddy shoes and everyday wear are more likely.

When choosing LVT, think about the room it is going into, the amount of foot traffic it receives and whether you want the flooring to make a statement or blend naturally with the rest of your décor.

Visit our Portslade showroom to compare styles and find an option that suits your home.

Choosing a carpet colour can be harder than it looks.

Before making your decision, think about the amount of natural light in the room, the colours already used in your furniture and décor, and how busy the space is likely to be.

Room size can make a difference too. Lighter shades can help a smaller room feel more open, while deeper tones can create a warmer, cosier feel. It is also worth considering how practical the colour will be if you have children, pets or a high-traffic area.

Viewing samples in the room itself can really help, as colours can look quite different in natural daylight and evening lighting.

If you are struggling to narrow down the options, visit our Portslade showroom. Our team can help you find a carpet that suits your room, lifestyle and personal style.
