We're now corporate members of LCRIG! 🤝

We're pleased to share that TRT Lighting has joined the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG), becoming part of a growing network of local authorities, industry partners and suppliers working together to support innovation and positive change across the UK's highways sector.

For us, it's an opportunity to build closer relationships with the people responsible for managing and maintaining our road networks, share our technical expertise and better understand the challenges facing local authorities.

From energy-efficient street lighting and sustainable retrofit solutions to EV charging infrastructure, we're looking forward to contributing to the conversations around smarter, more sustainable highways.

Not one, but TWO ECN Awards shortlists! 🏆🏆🎉

We're delighted to see two of our projects recognised in this year's Electrical Contracting News (ECN) Awards:

🔸 Lighting Project of the Year – Haverfordwest Footbridge and Western Quayside Phase 2

🔸 Sustainable Project of the Year – Lincolnshire County Council LED Retrofit Programme

Two very different projects, both demonstrating the important role lighting can play in improving public spaces and delivering more sustainable infrastructure.

A big thank you to everyone involved in bringing these projects to life, and congratulations to all the other finalists!

Meet Matthew Regan, Quality Manager, who has been part of the TRT Lighting team for just under three years.

Born in Durham, Matt grew up wanting to become a professional footballer, although an interest in engineering was already there from an early age.

His first car was a £600 Renault Clio, which came with one fairly major issue; an engine block that wasn't properly secured! 🚗

Outside of work, football still features heavily, alongside the occasional round of golf. His most memorable holiday was a trip to Tunisia with his fiancée, their first proper holiday abroad together.

His dream dinner table would bring together Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer, current favourite Dan Burn, and Neil Armstrong – presumably with plenty to talk about between them.

And his advice to his younger self?

"Don't worry about the things you have no control over."

Working with Amey, TRT Lighting is supporting the expansion of Trafford’s public EV charging network with our UK-manufactured E-Via charging pillars.

But this project isn’t simply about installing ‘more’ chargers.

It’s about creating a network that can adapt as demand and operational requirements change.

E-Via’s modular design allows different charging capacities, socket configurations and payment options to be accommodated within the same robust enclosure, with the ability to upgrade or reconfigure units in the future without replacing the complete charger.

The first phase has already seen more than 30 E-Via units installed, with further deployments planned.

We’ve been shortlisted! 🏆

We’re pleased to share that TRT Lighting has been named a finalist for Sustainability Initiative of the Year at the Made in Britain Impact Awards.

Our entry focused on Engineering Circularity – our approach to embedding sustainability throughout the product lifecycle, from the way we design and manufacture our luminaires through to packaging, retrofit, operation and end-of-life recovery.

It’s great to see that approach recognised, particularly as sustainability for us isn’t about one initiative or one product. It’s about continually looking at where we can reduce waste, extend asset life, use resources more intelligently and help our customers do the same.

A big well done to the TRT team and to all the other businesses shortlisted.

A first for TRT Lighting 💕

We’re expanding our exterior lighting portfolio with the launch of Preto and Preto+, our first architectural wall luminaires.

Compact and discreet, the new range combines a contemporary graphite black finish with warm 2700K light and a choice of area and gallery distributions.

With two sizes and outputs up to 1,013lm, the range also offers:

🔸 Projected L90 after 100,000 hours
🔸 Integral daylight sensor
