All being well I shall be at 'Meet the Makers' Arts & Craft Market at the King's School Gloucester from 17.30 to 20.30 on 12th November 2026. ☺️ I hope so as I have been organising it so I'll be dropping the rest of the King's School Parents Association (KSPA) in the proverbial if I don't turn up! 😄 We raise funds for extra resources and local charities as well as providing some fun! 🙃

If you are in the Gloucester area please do pop in!! 😍

To date there are 28 stalls (including me) with possibly a few more in the wings...and we have The BBQ Society coming with their food truck... 😋

Fresh batch of Lavender Rose Honey Soap! 😍 Smells gorgeous...all ready for the Gift and Craft Fair at Nature in Art at the weekend. Honey Spice curing! All the scents of Christmas with clove bud oil, cinnamon leaf oil, tangerine oil and a dose of turmeric!! All good for mind and body! ❤️

Upset my bees a bit yesterday as it was mild...due to being down at Mum's so much I hadn't got them ready for winter by removing the queen excluders and popping supers under the brood boxes. 🐝🐝 Not ideal this late in the season! The idea is that the bees do not get isolated from any stores as they will stay with the queen who obviously can't get through the excluder!! 🐝 I put supers underneath as there is less chance of the queens starting to lay in them before I get into the hives in the spring! 😄

Fingers crossed they make it through to Spring! 🤞

All being well we will be at Nature in Art 's Annual Gift & Craft Fair next weekend. 🤞We will be in our bright yellow gazebo in the garden area between the main house and the classroom building, so easy to spot! 💛 Hopefully it won't be as windy as last year...the gazebo almost took flight!! 😛

Will keep trying to make stock this week in amongst everything else that needs doing! ☺️🤞

Shame the soaps always cure paler than when you mix them! This is Cranberry and Orange Soap with Himalayan Pink Salt. ☺️ There is a link in the bio if you are interested.. 👍 I have started weighing out ingredients for my next batch, which will be Lavender Rose Honey Soap. 🌹😍

Hope the weather hasn't been too awful where you are..a few trees down round here. 😯 Couldn't get hold of Mum this evening and checked with a neighbour who confirmed they have a power cut. They are can be off for days...it is great relief to know Mum's neighbours are there and looking out for her! ❤️

Well I have eventually managed to get that batch of Calendula Face & Body Cleansing Bar made!! 🙄 After carting most of the ingredients (but not all crucially!) around the country! 😄 It is now curing under the nest of towels you can see in the photo!

All 3 boys (i.e. 2 sons 1 hubby) visiting in-laws this weekend, while the dog and I stay home so I can try and catch up with a few things. 😯 I have still to take the queen excluders off my bees due to being away with Mum so much.🐝 Weather not so good this weekend though!! 🌧️ Hopefully next week! 🤞

Yesterday I said in my post that I hoped to make some soap (Calendula Face & Body Cleansing Bar actually!) despite being down at Mum's... Turns out I hadn't packed all the right ingredients! I brought ordinary cold pressed rapeseed oil not the hydrogenated.... 🙄

Luckily I had also popped some tea light holders in that needed decoration! 😄 As 'that time of year' is approaching holly was the order of the day! 🧑‍🎄 I don't know if any of you have used glass outliners...but they have a mind of their own!! 😯 A bit of cleaning up to do on a couple! Of course I didn't bring the white spirit but as I also didn't bring my paint brushes the colour (lurking in the background) will have to wait anyway! 🙄

Mum a bit better (relative term in the circumstances so maybe I should say not as bad!) today...it is wearing her down. 😐

Hallo...I am still here! 😛 Not been in the right head space to post anything recently. Should have been at Newent Town Council Newent Saturday Market today but was down in Somerset instead looking after my Mum. She has at long last started chemo but it has knocked her for six. 😯 Having to take it a day at a time. 🙏

I have managed to do some 'real' work whilst down here...but this time managed to bring some 'making' bits with me too! ☺️ I haven't managed any for ages and I am hoping I don't have to miss too many markets. So here is a batch of Rose Honey Bath Melts..at long last ready for the off!! 🌹I hope I have remembered all the ingredients for making a soap tomorrow! 😄🤞

What's going on here then!! 😄 Mum's garden has acidic soil so these hydrangeas are usually pink as you can see. 👀🌺 But this fella has decided it's going to be blue i.e. the colour this hydrangea flowers on alkaline soil! 💙 🤔 It probably has something to do with it being late in the season...but I love it!! 😄❤️

Sorry being a bit sporadic... back down at Mum's while she's in hospital. Should have been at The Fold on Sunday but it wasn't to be! Hopefully will make the evening event in November that I have booked in for (on the 27th). 🤞

Popped in to visit but her bed's empty! 😯 Hopefully she'll reappear shortly!

When is a stream not a stream?? 🤔 This is the channel that runs through my Mum's garden. I would normally call it a stream...but right now it's just a stoney ditch with a tiny bit of dampness (see right hand side), further up the slope it is bone dry. 😔 We might have had some rain and we might not be baking but the effects of our crazy summer are ongoing...and not in a good way. Some of the garden shrubs, like hydrangeas still have droopy leaves. 😯

Do your bit to minimise this issue... 🙏💚

Going through my photos...this one was near the end of the summer holidays. Gosh!! They seem so far away already! 😯 And the weather has definitely decided it is autumn! 🍁🍂
