Running a small business is about so much more than making and selling beautiful things. I think so anyway.

One of the loveliest parts of what I do is getting to know people, hearing their stories and being trusted to create something that holds real meaning for them.

This lovely lady has supported me and Faux Floral since the very early days, and that loyalty means more to me than she’ll probably ever realise. So when I heard what had happened, I knew I wanted to do something for her. Not because I had to, but because I wanted to.

A little act of kindness and a thank you for three years of support. 🥰

It’s the people and the stories behind the flowers that make what I do so special. ❤️

I’m not quite sure where the last few months have gone!

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, and I’ve been so busy behind the scenes that I’ve barely had time to share half of what I’ve been up to!

From workshops, to a full office floral installation, to bringing beautiful wedding visions to life, recreating bridal bouquets as anniversary keepsakes, giving a talk about the hidden language of flowers (with a little live demo thrown in!) and even creating flowers for Swarovski’s member events! ✨

There have been a few real pinch-me moments along the way. Opportunities that I never imagined would come my way when I started Faux Floral, and some I still can’t quite believe happened!

It’s been busy, a little chaotic at times, but I’ve loved every minute of it. ❤️

I’m so incredibly grateful to every single person and business who has put their trust in me, whether that’s for something big or small. Being asked to create something special for you really does mean a lot.

It’s moments like these that make me think of my dad. Losing him changed so much for me, and ultimately led me to take that leap of faith and start Faux Floral. I think he’d be pretty proud of what I’ve been up to. ❤️

How gorgeous is this new space! 😍 Last month, Georgina opened the doors to the new home of Feminine & Co, and I was delighted to create a bespoke faux flower arrangement for her entrance space.

One of the things I love about running my own small business is getting to support other local businesses, especially those run by women who are putting their heart and soul into what they do.

It was lovely to play a small part in this exciting next chapter for Georgina and Feminine & Co. Wishing lots of success in your beautiful new space! 🤍

A bit of a pinch-me moment 🥹 Walking into Swarovski carrying flowers I’d created for their stores was honestly a little surreal.

When I started Faux Floral just over 2 years ago, I had absolutely no idea where it might take me. I just knew I wanted to do something to honour my dad, that was creative and bring joy to people, and importantly, have more time with my family. And then there are moments like this ✨

I’m still a one-woman business, creating arrangements from my little workshop/garage in Cambridgeshire, so walking through those doors to deliver my flowers felt pretty special.
Definitely one of those moments where I had to stop and think… I actually did that.

Very grateful. And yes, quietly rather proud of myself too if that’s ok…

Working through wedding proposals, then the next I’m reliving seeing Harry Styles last week. He was so good!! My guilty pleasure!!

I've loved seeing the different reasons people want to create these memory frames.

In just 3 days, a small group of us will be gathering at Sheene Mill to create floral memory frames filled with meaning.

You’ll learn about the meaning behind flowers, then create your own personalised floral box frame — designed to hold a special photograph and tell a story through the flowers you choose.

It could be a keepsake for yourself, a thoughtful gift, or a way to remember someone special.

No experience needed, all materials provided.
