Poem by Jacquelyn

There's an old friend in the meadow That I'm very pleased to see He's silent and he's stoical And knows so much more than me ! He's been a qood companion Throughout these many vears And seen me in my happy times But witnessed a few tears I've loved my old friend Harvey Right from the very start He brightens up my days He has the biggest heart ○ Jacquelyn Allsop 2024

Morning dear friends! I'm looking after my Mother full time now, so creating new artwork is getting harder. I am however working on a piece for our Scarecrow story book.
So in the meantime, here's an older whimsical watercolour and Gouche I did a while ago for
jules and Jacquelyn's Friday's Art and verse. Have a wonderful weekend everyone ❤️

Living alone can be lonely they say But that doesn't apply to me, I'm OK Cos I have two cats who love to play They bring sunshine where there is rain My little house is cosy and warm A refuge for all to keep safe from harm There's an Owl outside who sometimes sounds the alarm Whooooo !....There she goes again ! Living alone can bring so much peace After busy days it provides a release Independence is mine I can do as I please And the love for my cats is plain Mv needs are simple I don't need much Conversation with neighbours, a smile or a touch A hug with my Rabbit outside in her hutch This lifestvle keeps me sane ○ Jacquelyn Allsop 2025

Jules and Jacquelyn's Friday's Art and verse!
Watercolour on card.

As the sun sets in the sky And the snow lays far below We three geese have the urge... To new lands we must go We're off to warmer climes Relationships to start We flv on snowy wing But we're following the heart Well return again To the homeland that we love Look for us next year In the blue skies above.

A little familiar face awaits outside for her evening supper 🥰🦊
Sweet poem written by Jacquelyn Allsop below,

Has my Human seen me,
Sitting silent by the hedge ?
Has she realised its supper time
And I'm nearly on the edge?
Will there be a sausage roll tonight
Or a boiled egg ?
A peanut butter sandwich
Or perhaps a chicken leg ?
I love this little cottage
And the kindness that is spread
For this gracious human
Provides my daily bread

Jules and Jacquelyn's Friday's Art and verse

The Fox, Rabbit and two little mice All sat on a swing in a meadow so nice A trail of carved pumpkins lined their route And fox thought he heard a barn owl hoot The stars and the freflies all lit the sky Along with the moon who stood kindly by Halloween is approaching, a special night when A feeling of magic surrounds the sweet glen A night when the myths and legends all thrive And in manv a household they all come alive But till that night arrives the friends are content To all be together. that's time well spent @ Jacquelyn Allsop 2023

Taken from my garden a few years ago.
Forget anything materialistic, give me more of this!! 🥰🦌🦌🦌 beautiful poem written by Jacquelyn Allsop below,

Today, in a moment of solitude
I wandered down memory lane
I thought of the joys I'd been given
When I saw those sweet pictures again
The journey took me into my garden
I watched as those memories unfurled
For this was a haven for wildlife
Sanctuary for the natural world
The grass was heavily frosted
The Sun hung in a pink sky
A trio of Deer were feeding
And wandered across my minds eye
I remembered the joy as I saw them
The privilege that my heart felt
I nodded hello to a Pheasant
What a wonderful hand I'd been dealt !

Sorry if I haven't posted much of late. My Mother was placed into temporary resbite, whilst i've been building her an annexe. At this carehome, she caught a dreadful chest infection 😒. So I took her out early as the care just wasn't there, neither was the infection control. Sadly Her infection transpired to be community Pneumonia and my poor Mum has been in hospital ever since. Not only has her Alzheimer's progressed in the 6 weeks she was there, but she's had to contend with a very serious illness at 81 years of age.
The hospital have been brilliant and she's now finally on the mend.
Thank you dear friends for all your messages of support ❤️

I'm still seeing quite a lot of Butterflies in my garden due the the warm weather we're still experiencing. I took this little video a few years ago. Butterflies absolutely love slightly rotting watermelon 🍉

Friday's Art by Jules and Jacquelyn.
Have a wonderful weekend dear friends 🧡

October has arrived, the tenth month of the year
In the blink of an amber eye ,Christmas will be here
Fox is content for now to wander his domain
Beneath the Harvest Moon , can you hear the old refrain ?
Shine on Harvest Moon , your beauty is plain to see
Let your soft and gentle light be a guide for me
October brings us Halloween, and spooky goings on
Magic walks abroad , now that September's gone
