Finished! These are deeply personal scarves where you can personalise with your own dog or favourite breed and include their name (or yours) on the dog tag. I love this concept so much I am getting my own made. Can you guess which one it is from these four displayed?
They will be available in 100% silk twill or faux silk. UK designed and drawn by hand by me (no AI) and made in the UK.

Decades ago after losing her husband, heartbroken my Grandmother left Olympia, USA and settled in the North of England. One of the first things she purchased was a dog. My Grandmother was a wise woman and she knew back then that whilst a dog could not fill that void, they could help soften the edges. That dog was a curly coat. There are photos of them together outside her house where they both look so immaculate, colourful and chique. My Grandmother loved fashion. She was a salespersons dream, if she liked a pair of shoes well enough then she’d order them in every colour!
I think my Grandmother’s influence had to come out in a design sooner or later. And so here it is. Originally everything was very pink and very bright but I have toned it down somewhat! I have a feeling that whilst she might approve of the choice of dog and classic style, the more muted colours perhaps less so but I love them and I hope you do too.

So a little update on the scarves. I received the textile samples, the faux silk and eco recycled plastic ones, and I absolutely hated them. So that’s a no then.
Incoming is a luxury cotton called Pima Lawn. A finely woven 100% cotton fabric, beautifully silky to the touch. Not cheap but not as expensive as silk, which I may still offer alongside, although it makes me very nervous! Fingers crossed.
Inbetween I realised that my designs, all of them, the flatcoats, cats and retrievers etc, were aligned incorrectly. That they need to flow into the corners. So I’ve been working on that.
Here’s the version. And I think it definitely works better now and fits better with how a square scarf is commonly worn.
Will report back soon I hope. Scissors and thread at the ready!

It’s not often I make myself something but I actually have! A new house sign for Winter. It has all our friends on it (yes I’m that popular!). I love them all!
Anyway it got me thinking of Christmas, nostalgia and our beloved pets and I have plans, oh yes! Watch this space ❄️

NOW SOLD (and off to his lovely new home)
So the very last Halloween piece to leave my workshop , I make an error when making it! Enough of a balls up that meant I had to make a replacement for my lovely customer today. But silver linings and all that, this means the original one is now looking for a home for Halloween. There are a couple of errors but really only one you might notice (and now I don’t want to tell you because you might not have even noticed that!)…. the bat should be in a perfect circle but it is now a crescent (over zealous cut!). I still think it’s lovely and if you’re interested I am happy to reduce the price down from £45 to £20 for this 63cm long piece. I’ll even throw in the three LED lights in this video. Postage to the UK only is an additional £9.95 and sadly that cost I can do nothing about. So, £29.95 and I will ship this week for the weekend and well before Halloween. Ms/Mr Spaniel can’t wait to adorn your home with his treat bucket and cat friend. Message me to purchase, UK only x
