🧵✨ Little bags, BIG achievements! ✨🧵

Our young sewing stars (ages 8–12) have been busy at our Learn to Sew course, and just look at what they've been creating! 🪡💛

During their second class of four, they finished their beautiful lined drawstring bags, learning the bagging out technique, often seen on The Great British Sewing Bee! 🧵

From choosing their own fabric colours to picking ribbons for the finishing touches, every bag is unique. They've worked brilliantly, learned new skills and created something they can be truly proud of. 🌈👏

You’re not alone! Whether you’ve never used a sewing machine before or you’ve been put off by tangled thread and tricky bobbins, our Learn to Sew for Adult Beginners workshop is the perfect place to start. 💛

✨ How to thread your machine and insert the bobbin
✨ Get to know your machine’s features
✨ Practise sewing and learn how to troubleshoot common problems
✨ Make your very own lined drawstring bag to take home!

🎭✨ How lucky are we to have the Manor Pavilion in Sidmouth! ✨🎭

I had the pleasure of seeing The Great British Bake Off Musical there the other evening, and what a fantastic night it was!

A huge congratulations to everyone involved at 👏 From the talented local cast and musicians to the crew, production and scenery teams, you all did an amazing job bringing the show to life.

Laughter, tears, multiple plot twists and a whole lot of entertainment. You really did have it all! 😂🥹👏

It's wonderful to see so much talent right here in our local community, and we're incredibly fortunate to have a venue where productions like this can happen.

💛 Thank you for such a brilliant evening. Can't wait to see what you bring to the stage next!

Who loves ironing?

Not me! Unless I'm painting with an iron..... I'm no artist, but I love what I can create with my iron :)

Encaustic Art is a fascinating way of creating art even if you have never painted before. Who knows what will appear on your piece of waxed card when you apply pigments and hot wax using an iron?

Join us as we learn 3 different techniques of Encaustic Art to create fabulous landscapes and abstracts. No previous experience is necessary.

All tuition, materials and refreshments will be provided. You will go home with at least 3, possibly 4, pieces of art.
