An outstanding and original early 1920’s Art Deco mirror salvaged from a London restaurant.

The mirror has a large oak frame with an arrangement of three large blue coloured mirror plates. One central rectangular plate in a deep aqua blue colour flanked by two similar plates in light blue. The three plates are held into place with nickel plated banding with additional nickle plated screws to each of the sections.

The three central plates are then boarded by additional rectangular mirror plates in metallic light gold that follow the oak frame.

The mirror plates are of exceptional quality and made by the British glass manufacturer Pilkington Glass of St Helens, Merseyside. The mirror plates are stamped with the Pilkington glass makers stamp and measure an impressive 5 mm in thickness.

This beautiful Art Deco mirror is in wonderful condition for its age with just the right amount of wear to the glass plates and frame.

If any item in our collection could tell stories I am sure this mirror in particular would have a yarn to spin!

A Victorian mahogany w**e table or occasional table with an unusual scalloped top with a gently chamfered edge.

The top is supported with a tall turned baluster column on a symmetrical triform base terminating on bun feet.

In good country house condition exhibiting a rich dark brown finish to the mahogany.

A splendid example of an early 20th century brass haberdashery shoe mirror.

The mirror has a beautifully foxed and weathered mirror plate with a shapely brass frame complemented with a brass carrying handle.

The mirror is supported by a pair of gently curved frame feet allowing the mirror to rest at a twenty-five degree angle.

A shop assistant would place the mirror on the floor and the customer would be able to see all angles of the shoes they are trying on.

The mirror would be a lovely addition to a boutique shoe shop or even reimagined as a dressing table mirror or bathroom shaving mirror.

EARLY VICTORIAN IRISH DRESSER IN ORIGINAL PAINT

A wonderful early Victorian pine dresser in the original paint with superb wear around the handles of the drawers.

The thick moulded top has a gently stepped edge above a series of seven smooth running deep drawers accompanied with original ebonised button handles.

Beneath a panelled cupboard with a single fixed shelf to the interior giving ample space for storage within.

Raised on a gently flared plinth base accompanied with an original fluted plank back.

Great colour and wear throughout in unrestored original condition.

AESTHETIC MOVEMENT GYPSY TABLE

A charming and unusual 19th century Aesthetic Movement gypsy table with a burgundy velvet circular top.

Beneath the table top is a multi coloured richly embroidered floral fringe with intricate gold coloured stitching. The stitching is wonderfully executed and complemented with time worn green tassels beneath the fringe.

The table top is supported by four ebony fluted supports ending on ball finials that join with a turned ‘X’ shaped cross stretcher. Ending on four gently out swept legs and finished on ebony ceramic castors with gold crown metalwork detailing.

The legs and supports of the table have gold ink penwork details to either side adding an extra dimension and depth to the base.

A truly original table with plenty of stories to tell.

LARGE PAIR OF MAHOGANY APOTHECARY DRAWERS

A large pair of 19th century mahogany apothecary cabinets with a total run of sixty smooth running drawers.

Each of the cabinets has an arrangement of twenty one small drawers with a bank of twelve larger drawers beneath.

The cabinet would have been one continuous run before the pair were split directly down the centre. The drawers were probably divided when the drawers were removed from their initial installation in a chemist or apothecary shop for easy removal.

Each of the smooth running drawers has the original iron work handles and name plates to each.

The spacious two plank top with a rounded moulded lip on a shallow plinth base with the original oak boarded backs.

Each of the cabinets is flanked by a pair of beautifully carved decorative pillars.

This magnificent bank of drawers could either be presented in one long run or as a pair in two separate banks. They would make a superb side board or kitchen island or as a standout focal point in a bar or restaurant setting.

Superb colour and grain throughout.
