Being a bank holiday I had expected a much lower turn out - so , a welcome surprise for me.

Many thanks to all who came along for the session on the 21st.

I was pleased to have the opportunity to introduce Fraser to our group. This was the third time only that he had modelled ( twice before in my studio ) and the first time for a group.
It was a joy to see him become more relaxed as the day went on and I have since heard from him to say how much he enjoyed the experience and I thank you for making him feel welcome.
I hope you also enjoyed the challenge of a new model.

Our next session will be on the 4th April.

Many thanks to all who came along for the session on the 14th. I hope you had a rewarding and enjoyable time.

Special thanks to Andy, who brought in such a large and varied selection of art books , from which we could just take our pick. When Andy asked if he could bring in a few books to make some space at home , I thought perhaps 5 - 10. I should have been suspicious when I saw the truck back up ! Emoji

The hall wasn't available for another weekend in Feb, so we shall have to wait until March 7th.

Southampton Life Drawing operates on a regular basis , usually on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. The classes run from 10 until 4, but there is the option of a full or half day attendance. There is no obligation to attend every class- just come along when convenient to you.
The venue is Hounsdown Community Hall near Totton, Southampton, SO40 9ES. The hall is spacious and fairly well lit, and has easy parking and level access.
At our sessions we provide the greatest variety of models and the most opportunities to enjoy drawing, in the Southampton area.
In the morning session we provide a variety of poses lasting from one minute up to an hour. The afternoon is very relaxed with two reclining poses of an hour each
Recently I have introduced the opportunity to explore working with modelling clay in the afternoon sessions.
Why not take advantage to hone your skills or take on a new challenge? All skill levels are welcome.
