Amelia’s tagline is coming together ❤️
She’s done such a great job and has put a lot of hours into coiling both the base and lid and refining the surface.
I can’t wait to see it decorated. She’s planning on using slip and doing a sgraffito pattern.
Well done Amelia.

What would you like to make… something thrown on the wheel .. a mug for your hot chocolate perhaps or handbuild a lovely fruit bowl …. there are endless possibilities which makes creating with clay so exciting….

Come and try it, you won’t regret it!

We should probably issue a disclaimer - we accept no responsibility for becoming hooked on pottery!

Made it Monday!
This week we are celebrating our lovely member Becky.
This salad bowl is mesmerising, there is something celestial about it, the way the glazes suggest movement. Love it!

Want to learn to throw well with minimal frustration in a small super supportive environment?

This two-day intensive course covers throwing foundations in a focused and supportive format. It is designed for complete beginners, people returning to pottery after a break, and those who have had a go before but are struggling to make consistent progress.

Over two days we will work through the foundations of wheel throwing step by step, building good habits from the beginning and developing a reliable process that you can continue to practise long after the course has finished.

David attended one of our Pottery Intro days, they are a great way to experience the two disciplines of pottery and get a feel for what it is all about!

At The Ceramics Studio, we believe pottery is about people, not just clay.

Tucked away in our lovely rural studio, we offer more than pottery teaching. We offer a place to learn, explore, experiment and grow in confidence, surrounded by people who care.

Every student is an individual, with their own ideas, abilities and creative journey. There’s no pressure to keep up, no expectation to get everything right- just expert guidance, encouragement and the freedom to learn at your own pace.

Whether you’re learning to throw with Leyla or discovering the world of handbuilding with Gaye, we’re here as your Pottery Aunties! To encourage you, support you, share in your successes and help you discover the happy, confident potter you can become.

Because for us, pottery is about so much more than clay. It’s about people, connection, creativity and the joy of discovering what you can do.

And we feel very lucky to be part of that journey.
“Your journey. Your pace. Your creativity. We’re here to help you grow.”

It's Made it Monday! Hey Robyn 👋
These bowls just go to show that sometimes all your pots need is a perfect glaze to sing! The depth of colour and vibrancy in these glazes are magnificent! Great work Robyn!
