A new term is beginning at The Ceramics Studio and we’d love you to join us.

Whether you’re drawn to the wheel and want to learn the art of throwing or prefer the freedom and creativity of handbuilding, our workshops are designed to help you learn, explore and develop your own pottery skills.

But pottery is about more than simply making pots.
It’s about slowing down, getting your hands into clay, discovering what you can create and finding your own creative voice.

Texture is such a joyful way to bring a clay surface to life.
Look beyond commercial texture tools and start experimenting with the everyday things around you. Buttons, fabric, screws, wood, leaves and all sorts of “found” objects can create beautiful and unexpected marks.

Our Pottery Intro Days sell out every month, they are the perfect way to dip your toes (well fingers) into the world of pottery and find out what its all about. With half a day dedicated to the basics of handbuilding and the other half throwing at the wheel you'll come away with an understanding of what creating with clay actually is and we like to think you'll catch the bug!!

We want everyone who steps foot in the studio to work at their own pace, we don't believe in 'pushy' teaching. Both Leyla and Gaye have what can only be described as a 'gentle' way of teaching but with a confidence and knowledge that leaves everyone feeling like they are in safe hands.
