Before & After – Floor Preparation in Dursley!

Another important stage of a flooring project completed in Dursley!

The job involved bringing three different floor levels together to create one smooth, flat surface, ready for the installation of underfloor heating boards.

- Applied the correct primer
- Used fibre-reinforced latex screed
- Levelled the three different floor heights into one consistent surface
- Created a smooth, stable base ready for the next stage

Good flooring starts with good preparation! Getting the subfloor right from the beginning is essential for achieving the best possible result in the finished floor.

We removed the existing gripper and prepared the area before fitting the new vinyl, creating a fresh, modern finish that complements the existing bathroom suite.

Sheet vinyl is a practical choice for bathrooms, offering an easy-to-clean surface with a wide range of designs available. This herringbone pattern adds character and the look of a more traditional parquet floor.

This Stonehouse project involved getting the subfloor properly prepared before installing the new wood-effect sheet vinyl.

-Floor preparation: The existing floor was primed and latex screeded to create a smooth, even surface ready for the new flooring.

- New vinyl flooring: A warm, natural wood-effect finish to brighten up the space.

- Professional finish: Carefully fitted with neat edges and a clean finish throughout.

Floor preparation is one of the most important parts of any flooring installation. Taking the time to get the subfloor right helps achieve a better-looking finish and gives the new flooring the best possible foundation.
