LOOSE TIPPED DELIVERIES ON A MINGIN', BOGGIN', HOWLIN' DAY!
Scotland being Scotland, we are never that far away from a downpour & with the forecast looking pretty dreich over the next couple of weeks, so we thought we would give a quick heads up about how the rain can affect your delivery.

💧 Does rain damage kiln-dried logs?
Short answer: no.
Longer answer: Surface water does not undo the kiln-drying process. Kiln-dried logs are dried internally, not just on the outside. If the logs get a bit wet on the surface, the water will not pe*****te into the wood too far and do not turn into unseasoned logs again when wet by rain. The logs will dry back out very quickly once stored away (preferably in a log store or somewhere that is ventilated and sheltered from the elements).

🚚 After your delivery
Our drivers are also happy to cover your logs after drop off if you have a tarpaulin available. If you do not have one, we also sell XL tarpaulins for £15, which can be added to your order and give extra peace of mind that your logs are protected from any downpours after we leave.

📅 Want to delay your delivery? No problem!
If you would rather wait for drier weather, we are more than happy to delay your delivery. If you would like to delay your delivery please reschedule & we will move you into the next available delivery slot or try to accommodate a date you prefer. Please try to give us ample time to reschedule so we can alter our delivery routes and allow other customers the opportunity to take your space. During peak season there may be a few days delay until there is a clear space in our diary but we do our best to not have you hanging around too long!

🌦️ Weather Forecast
We keep an eye on the forecast when planning loose tipped deliveries however from our experience it is very rarely accurate and almost always not as bad as the press can make out. We have had wet days predicted that end up being blue skies, and days that look like tshirt weather bringing downpours!

So to recap, rain is not our best case scenario for a delivery, however it does not have to put too much of a dampener on proceedings if you still wish to receive your delivery. Just be sure to dig out your packamac!

A QUICK FESTIVE UPDATE >
We have opened up another van for deliveries to Angus & Dundee on the 29th & 30th December, so there are now more delivery slots available online after some dates showed as sold out earlier in the week.

🎄 Our self-service grab net shop in Carnoustie will also be open on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so you can top up whenever it suits you - same goes for New Years - our door is never closed!

PRE-CHRISTMAS DELIVERY AVAILABILITY >

Our busy little elves have been running around like pointy eared dafties in November with Andrew & David delivering over 350 bulk-bags, and Bob dropping off around 100 loose-tipped loads. There was still some time left to pop grab net and wheelie bin orders neatly away for our customers too!

With up to 4 delivery vehicles on the road (when they are not in the garage!), we are able to keep deliveries moving and waiting times sensible, even during peak season.

That said, pre-Christmas delivery slots for Bulk-Bags and Loose Loads are extremely limited, with availability tightening by the day. If you are planning a delivery before Christmas, we would recommend ordering sooner rather than later to make sure your home is nice and cosy for the festivities.

For maximum convenience, you can choose your preferred bulk-bag delivery day when ordering online.

Howdy folks!
Quick wee update as we head into the week, and with Christmas creeping up quicker than frost on the windscreen, it is worth giving everyone a heads-up on delivery spaces.

🔥 LOOSE TIPPED LOAD AVAILABILITY
If you are after a loose-tipped load, please get your order in soon. We are fully booked until Wednesday 3rd, and the remaining slots for later in the week are already thinning out.

If looking for a delivery before our December 23rd shutdown please do get in touch to secure your slot later in the month.

🪵 BULK-BAG DELIVERY AVAILABILITY
We usually manage to deliver around 25 bulk-bags per day so the pressure is eased a little but this week is already filling up:
Monday 01st : No spaces
Tuesday 02nd : a small handful left
Wednesday 03rd : good availability
Thursday 04th : good availability
Friday 05th : nearly full

If you have a preferred delivery day, grab it while it is still there. We have a date selector on our website.
