If you love using decoupage papers on your furniture projects, you’ll know how important it is to get the paint colour just right.

I’ve put together my own carefully selected collection of 10 Frenchic colours, chosen to work beautifully with decoupage papers and make blending those edges and backgrounds so much easier.

The idea is to help you create a lovely seamless finish, blending your paint into the colours and tones within your chosen paper, rather than having an obvious line where the paper ends and the paint begins.

Whether you’re softening the edges, adding depth, creating a background or pulling out a particular colour from your paper, these shades give you plenty of creative possibilities.

Well, the beast is in the window! And there’s officially no room for anything else!

I’m here until 4pm today, then it’s off to the NEC tomorrow to set up for the HUGE Craft, Christmas & Cake Show! Is anyone going? It would be lovely to see some familiar faces.

Open as usual Monday 2nd November then I'm away for a couple of days at the NEC Craft Show. I'll be closed 5th -7th November, back open on Sunday 8th. You can still order online (you can use Klarna now, terms apply). Orders will be dispatched from the 8th November.

Back from a few days of creativity, inspiration and a LOT of laughs!
Well, what a lovely few days away at Belton Woods Hotel & Spa! Three days surrounded by creative people, trying new products , sharing ideas, eating, drinking and generally having a jolly good time!
Running your own business can be a bit of a whirlwind, can't it? You're always thinking about the next project, the next workshop, what needs doing in the shop and all those ideas you have scribbled down somewhere (or is that just me?!).
So, it was lovely to step away from the day-to-day, get the creative juices flowing and spend time with people who understand exactly what it's like to run a small business.
It was wonderful catching up with familiar faces Glass painting by Chris Upcycled by Nicci my lovely Frenchic stockists friends Rosie and Lavender Grove and meeting some lovely new ones, including Michelle from Mint by Michelle. Nick from The Rocky Crystal, Jonathon Marc and Lottie from FAFF Designs. Such a talented bunch, and so much inspiration all in one place!
A huge thank you to Helen & Lesley from Design Storm for bringing us all together and making it such a fabulous few days.
I've come home with a head full of ideas, plenty of inspiration and probably even more things I want to try! My poor to-do list doesn't stand a chance!
I'll be sharing some photos and videos with you soon, so you can have a little peek at what we've been up to.
Now, back to Brits Love Vintage Interiors Whitstable and all the exciting things I've got planned for the shop and workshops. Watch this space!

I’m on my way to Grantham for a couple of days of workshops and meetings some extraordinary artists and lovely stockists of Mint by Michelle I love her decoupage papers they are completely different from any others.
I love how furniture artists can use the same one and make them look so different The rocky crystal interiors and Jonathon Marc Mendes and going to be sharing their knowledge and skills with us and I can’t wait to bring some new ideas back.
Sorry the shop is closed but it’s important for me to have a little down time too, the workshops just happen to be taking place in a beautiful spa so I’ll be making the most of the facilities.
See you back in the shop on Thursday.
