I’ve been doing my daily sketch challenge for just over 2.5 weeks now and I’m really loving it.
I like having the daily commitment to painting something, it really has become the highlight of my day.
It’s also so satisfying to see a collection of work growing. All different subjects but a similar style. I’m using watercolour because it’s fairly loose and sketchy and I can paint quite quickly without too much detail. It’s not a medium I have used a lot in my life so it’s also a wonderful learning experience for me.
I’m hoping to keep going for a while and eventually will aim to list all the paintings for sale. I have a few favourites but it’s been really interesting to see what resonates with everyone on here!
I’ve also been so pleasantly surprised by the engagement these videos are getting. For years I have felt quite uninspired when posting on here. You go to the effort of making a reel or post and hardly get any views. But these posts are actually doing quite well so it’s giving me a bit of a confidence boost which I kinda needed!!
