This week I visited WOW!house 2026 at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre and came away feeling inspired by the incredible focus on sensory design. Throughout the house, designers explored the power of lighting, texture and craftsmanship to create spaces that evoke emotion and enhance wellbeing.

My standout room was the Garden Folly Room, entered through a beautiful façade designed by Wi******er's own Adam Architecture. The rich red colour palette, layered textiles, intricate trims and playful tassels created a space that was both dramatic and welcoming. It was a wonderful example of how thoughtful design can create an immersive experience and leave a lasting impression.

Which room in your home would you most like to transform? I'd love to hear your ideas in the comments. If you're considering a redesign, renovation or simply need some inspiration, feel free to get in touch to discuss how we can create a home that reflects your style and the way you want to live.

The May bank holidays are almost here and if you're anything like us, that's when you suddenly notice every corner of the house that's been quietly ignored since January.

The good news? You don't need a full refresh. A few considered changes make an enormous difference. In the guest room, start with fresh linen, a clear surface or two, and a decent bedside light, it transforms a space from "spare room" to somewhere a guest actually feels welcome. In the living areas, think about where people will naturally gather and whether the seating works for a group. And don't overlook the garden: clean furniture, some comfortable outdoor cushions, and a string of lights can turn an evening into something genuinely lovely.

The bank holiday weekend is one of the rare occasions when every part of your home gets used at once. It's worth making sure all of it is ready.

Which room do you always end up tackling at the last minute?

Every April, the ritual begins. Bags filled, cupboards cleared, surfaces polished to a shine. And yet something still feels off.

That's because spring cleaning addresses what's accumulated. It doesn't address what's missing.

A truly considered home isn't just tidy. It's intentional. The quality of afternoon light, the way furniture sits in a room, the balance of texture and tone, none of that shifts when you reach for the mop.

Spring is the perfect moment to look at your home with fresh eyes. Not to clean it but to question it.

Explore what a considered refresh could do for your space.

Several months away from my own studio has given me more than I expected.

There's something quietly humbling about working for someone else again.

For the past little while, I've been working alongside another designer, stepping away from running my own studio to immerse myself in larger, more complex projects than I'd typically take on alone. It was a deliberate decision, and honestly, one of the best I've made.

Collaborating at that award winning level teaches you things that solo practice simply can't. A different eye on a space. A different instinct for materials. A different way of holding a client's vision when the brief is vast and the stakes are high. I came away with a sharper mind and a renewed love for what this work actually is.

The studio is back, and I'm genuinely excited about what comes next.

I'd love to know, have any of you ever stepped back from something you love in order to come back to it better? There's real wisdom in that pause.

Just back from an inspiring day at Decorex

So many incredible artisans, beautiful materials and innovative design concepts under one roof. I left buzzing with ideas, from sculptural lighting and textured fabrics to bespoke joinery and rich heritage inspired colour palettes.

Events like this remind me why I love what I do, design is not just about aesthetics, it’s about storytelling, craft and creating spaces that feel personal, timeless and deeply considered.

Can’t wait to bring some of these new inspirations into upcoming projects.
