Why choose stag furniture for furniture upcycling?

I was chatting this week with a lovely lady who would like me to commission several pieces of furniture for her when she moves into her new home.

It got me thinking, why we have chosen Stag Furniture as the base style. Why is it still so popular to own?

Originally produced in the 1950s–1970s — the golden era of mid-century modern design. The Stag Minstrel range features clean lines, simple shapes, and understated details. Coupled with solid beautiful dovetail joints and super strong construction, you can see why it was a winner then and still now, as a great base for today’s interior design ideas.

Unlike trend-led furniture that quickly dates, Stag’s design is truly timeless, fitting in with a modern contemporary home once upcycled. Sorry Stag, the one negative, your deep mahogany wood tone will need to go, easily rectified though.

Back to reality! Escaping the rain here in the UK, even for a week was so worth it. This time exploring Hurghada and Luxor, each visit to Egypt doesn’t disappoint.

I can’t believe this was a year ago this week when I was invited in by the BBC to chat about furniture upcycling !

How time flies! Fun Fun, and still upcycling! 😃

Fabulous morning at BBC Berkshire Radio today, chatting with Kirsten O’Brien about upcycling furniture on air to listeners.

Such a lovely lady, who’s had a dabble herself on home projects and found it personally a little trickier than she thought.
