Shiela’s paintings explore the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi, celebrating the beauty of imperfection.

She build up layers to create rich textures using palette knives, rollers, sandpaper and brushes. Her resulting landscapes, skyscapes and seascapes offer a unique perspective, as if seen through the eyes of creatures living in a world shaped by climate change and disorientation.
