Natural light has a way of softening everything in a space, especially when warm wall colours and gentle traditional features work together.
The proportions feel balanced, making the space feel elegant. The upholstered seating invites you to pause and enjoy the sunlight, and the artworks are placed with intention so the whole area becomes a peaceful corner to sit, breathe, and let the day slow down.
As time goes ever faster we definitely need the importance of a quiet book to try and let the day slow.

Our concept design for the Whitton project, compromising of an extended porch and new front door. A first floor side extension and a large ground floor rear extension.

The side extension means that we can design a spacious primary suite at the front of the house, and also include another bedroom at the rear. Ensuring that this will be a great sized family home going forward.

The rear extension means that we can design and install a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area, with a large skylight. Also including a new utility room off the kitchen.

This lovely relaxed sitting room is the one we designed for the Laleham Road clients, an informal adults only space to read books and watch TV together.

The clients required additional storage in this room for their large collection of books, we therefore mirrored the existing base units in each alcove and created new built in bookcases above.

The clients wee huge fans of green and blue, therefore we decided upon a warm sage green colour for the walls in Mylands Beauvais, complimented by the Sanderson Horse Chestnut wallpaper on the chimney breast.

They will definitely enjoy this sitting room for years to come.

Artwork is such an important final detail that finishes off any project, adding that last considered layer.

Once artwork is installed - by our professional installers, painted, wallpapered or panelled walls suddenly come to life and become the backdrop ready to let the artwork shine.

This abstract artwork by Jessica Zoob reminds the client of their flower filled garden on the river. It sits pride of place in their entrance hall. You only have to walk into their kitchen to see that garden view for yourself looking down towards the river.

Marble can create such a statement, especially when clad in an entire bathroom or guest WC. Such as this stunning green marble shown here.

Such a versatile material, it can be fabricated to be cladding on walls, create a shower niche, or hollowed out to form a basin. Creating a seamless and highly bespoke look for a room.

Introducing the Laleham Road kitchen, a completely bespoke designed kitchen. Fabricated and installed by one of our skilled carpenters. Painted in the gorgeous soft green of Beauvais by Mylands, and complimented with warm accents of brass.

The kitchen has been designed to become the heart of the family home, with an open plan dining area and snug adjoining it. The clients had visions of their son sitting at the peninsular doing their homework.

This space works so well for them, bring the family together, because previously the kitchen was completely cut off from the family room. There was no interaction, while someone was in the kitchen.

This is what honed down interior design and understanding your client is all about.
We wish them a very happy home for many years.

Well the kids are finally back at school and I am settling nicely back into a routine. It was a very full on August with the summer holidays, and a house move for us at the end of August.

It is shaping up to be a full on September as well, as we’ve just had one child’s birthday, followed by the another one next week. Who doesn’t love a bit of chaos!

This delightful wallpaper is from Designer’s Guild called Assam Blossom in Sage. It is going to form the background of the Guest WC at the Rowtown project, along with some mint coloured herringbone tiles. It is going to be sumptuous place for a hand wash.

Summer is for sitting in sunny sitting rooms, with the doors wide open letting in the breeze, and the smell of outdoors.

Your sitting room should work well for all seasons, effortlessly shifting from summer to winter and back again. This sitting room has a tiled floor which lends itself towards summer days, helping to keep you cool underfoot, and in turn keeping warm in winter with underfloor heating.

Fabrics such as linens and cottons work well all year round as well as silks and wool. These can be blended with other more winter based fabrics to ensure your space works for you all year round.

This landing and double height space from our Magna Carta project are curated to accentuate light. Natural light flooding in from the large bespoke arched window looking out to the garden.

The pale and mid toned paint colours have been chosen to reflect back as much light as possible, creating a space that feels open, bright and beautifully lifted. As well as enhancing the period features of the space.

With so much bright natural light the space has been punctuated with areas of interest. The clients house plants and their beautiful artworks.
