Makeover Complete ☑️
Project: Guest Bedroom
Location: Kings Hill

Needs to stay: Fitted Wardrobes.

Client's Spec: Transform a guest bedroom that had lost its way.. collecting a mix of items and furniture, loosing its purpose a little.
Create a calm, relaxing room in a cosy and classy Coastal theme, with carefully chosen accessories and decoration to create a scheme that tastefully captures a love of the seaside.

What we've done: Complementing the existing "denim" blue fitted wardrobes, we added a feature wallpaper and chose a coordinated warm, neutral paint colour. New carpet, ottoman bed with storage, free-standing furniture for additional storage and display space for accessories. Made-to-measure blind with pelmet, coordinating cushions, lighting, artwork and accessories. Simple white bedding with subtle blue embroidery on the gently scalloped trim. We also replaced the standard furniture k***s with cute coordinating k***s.

Sssh... I've been keeping a secret 🙊
Ok, well not really keeping a secret as such, but something really exciting happened and I was a bit too nervous to tell everyone 🙈

After being at the top of my business to-do list last year, my plans for a KHID website were very rudely halted rather suddenly due to ill health (those who know me, will know that I had a bit of a scary brush with the Big C 😬). Ever so grateful to make it to 2026, the KHID website went back on my to-do list and with the (much appreciated!) technical assistance from Curtis at Inertia Tech I finally got to hit the 'publish' button and am now the proud owner of www.katehudsoninteriors.co.uk

It felt like a bit of a milestone, given the bumpy journey that this area of progress for my business ended up going on, and honestly a bit emotional.. a personal Win.
It's not fully there (I still need to work on adding more images to the Gallery - a job for after the summer hols!) But it's out there, finally.. which feels a little bit scary but also a big bit great 🤍

I will be taking zero credit for all the hard work that's gone in to my office makeover (Neil and Seb definitely win the gold stars for that!) but I have been doing a few little touch-ups today, now that most of the fitting has been done (also, thanks to Neil!) And it's coming along 😊
Just left to do now is the blind (think I've finally decided on fabric) a couple of shelves and a new chair!

Made-to-Measure Blinds now installed in Frittenden 🤍

Completing the window dressings for our open plan Lounge, Dining and Kitchen space (with coordinating cushion covers). Plus Master Bedroom and Guest Bedroom 🤍

Project: Master Bedroom
Location: Kings Hill

Needs to stay: Fitted Wardrobes and coordinating furniture

Client's Spec: Warm neutrals for a calming and relaxing master bedroom.. must have good blackout curtains for light sleeper. Hotel vibes with a hint of Art Deco.

What we've done: re-freshed the existing paint colour (if it ain't broke, don't fix it!). New:- carpet, bed, lighting, made-to-measure curtains, coordinating cushions, artwork and accessories. Powder coated the existing wardrobe handles and replaced furniture k***s.
