Planning your motorised curtains early can save you from costly rework and ensure a clean, premium finish.

Planning too late – Plan curtain automation before the false ceiling, electrical, and interior work begins.
No plywood support – Provide 18 mm plywood support, as a regular false ceiling cannot safely support the curtain motor and track.
Incorrect curtain pocket size – Leave adequate space:
Minimum depth: 6 inches
Single curtain: 8 inches
Double curtain: 12 inches
Track length too short – Extend the track 1–2 feet beyond the window for better curtain stacking and maximum natural light.
