Thomas Ong's brief to his designer was simple. An English gentleman's cigar room.
We took that and ran with it. Deep colours, dark wood grain, leather, warm ambient lighting. But the home is a two-room flexi, and too much dark can make a small space feel heavy fast.
The real work wasn't picking the palette. It was knowing how far to push it. Moody enough to feel like a proper cigar room, light enough to still breathe.
We avoided designing around who Thomas is to the public. He designed instead for who Thomas actually is at home, away from the cameras. That's why the space holds its own personality instead of reading like a celebrity showcase.
