That question sat at the heart of our first Desk Dialogues at Conexus Studio Kuala Lumpur, held in partnership with Women in BIM, bringing together industry leaders for an evening of candid conversations on AI, digitalisation and the future of the built environment.
๐กOne theme emerged consistently throughout the evening: digital transformation is rarely a technology challenge. Whether adopting AI, BIM or a Common Data Environment, the real test lies in driving adoption, proving value, and translating data into better outcomes across the project lifecycle.
As AI takes on the repeatable, the conversation also turned to what becomes distinctly human. Adaptability, critical thinking and contextual judgement are no longer complementary skills โ they are becoming essential ones.
โจ A heartfelt thank you to our keynote speaker, Ziqing Liew of Sunway Group, and our panellists, Nur Suryani Abd Khalid of IJM Corporation Berhad and Renee Jain of Straits Construction Singapore Pte Ltd, for sharing their experiences and perspectives. We are equally grateful to our partners, Women in BIM, for making our inaugural Kuala Lumpur edition possible.
And to everyone who joined us, thank you for contributing to the thoughtful exchanges and making our first Desk Dialogues in KL such a meaningful evening. Here's to many more conversations that move beyond buzzwords and towards lasting business value.
