🏠 Singapore Renovation Quotation Checklist

✅ Don’t compare price only — compare scope of work
✅ Confirm material grade (E0 / E1 plywood)
✅ Ensure cabinet dimensions are clearly stated
✅ Check countertop material & thickness (12mm / 15mm)
✅ Verify electrical points and sockets included
✅ Confirm HDB Permit, protection & debris disposal are included
✅ Review payment schedule before signing
✅ Ask for actual completed project photos
✅ Check warranty coverage and duration
✅ Don’t automatically choose the cheapest quote

⚠️ A low quotation with many variation orders (VOs) can end up costing more than a transparent quotation.

Compare value, not just price.
Focus on workmanship, materials, and after-sales service.

Ah Gong see this $500K reno, suddenly feel transported back to younger Mitsubishi EVO days.

Last time Ah Gong also like that. Buy EVO, then pour BMW money inside until must challenge Ferrari, Lamborghini and every uncle at the traffic light who accidentally look over.

Very shiok one. Boost come in, All Money Gone.

Now old already, look back and realise sometimes we were not modifying the car. We were modifying our self-esteem. 💀

This Hougang flat also same energy lah.
Outside still HDB/DBSS. Inside become high-end hotel, cyberpunk gaming cave, marble palace — one corner still got enough reflection to check your Rolex, your Patek and your life choices.

To be fair, his money, his house, his dream.
Some people buy a Porsche.
Some people buy Hermès.
Some people renovate until the wall looks more expensive than Ah Gong’s CPF statement.

But the scary part is resale. Because next buyer must not only like the location. Must like marble. Must like cyberpunk. Must like stainless steel ripple panel. Must like the feeling that every wall is judging your income.

It didn’t work out financially for Ah Gong’s EVO during resale. Just saying. 🥴

Still, Ah Gong respect the courage.
Half a million on reno is not small money.
This is not home renovation anymore.

This is an emotional limited edition collaboration between HDB, Las Vegas, Marina Bay Sands and Need For Speed Underground.
